Love this place, fave spot to have breakfast before dropping kids to school. Empanadas are always fresh and delicious (im obsessed with the chorizo one). Also this is the only place ive been to that actually makes proper dry capuccinos.
what happen to this place?!?! Serving raw pastray is just not acceptable.

Good little cafe. The decaf espresso was good, and I really liked the BBQ pork empanada. The owner was very nice. I enjoyed my visit here!

Love this place. The food is really good! The coffees can sometimes be a mixed review based on barista. They used to have a really phenomenal girl but since she left they haven’t been as consistent. Just really wish they allowed dogs as I love to take my dog on a walk and grab food/pastries so for that reason I end up typically going elsewhere that allows dogs.

Empanada is not authentic and pre-made, tastes very doughy. You have to order chimichurri separately and it’s not that good.

A few things: there were a few customers that were asking for things and they said they didn’t have it or sold out. It still pretty early in the day but a few customers even myself were figuring out “what do you have then?” Also, it don’t seem like there was a rush to make my coffee, I think there was a moment of confusion cause I was just waiting there. The empanada was not warmed so that was another added on. No TP in restroom as well, it seems a lot of disarray for customers ordering and overall experience for me.

It's a really cozy place. Peaceful and quiet. The coffee was good, the Brazilian cheese bread was delicious.

Adorable little cafe with patio seating. Needed some hydration and to snack after visiting the Chicago History Museum. The Copacabana smoothie was absolutey delicious, and the Spinach & Feta Empanada was fresh and vibrant. The Frizole Empanada delightfully surprised me, as I don't typically like beans, but there was a nice kick to it that made it wonderful.
Incredibly well priced given the location and proximity to Lincoln Park, the Nature Museum, the Chicago History Museum, and the Zoo.

Solid spot with some great empanadas as well as a few unique Brazilian pastries.
Coffee was pretty good, there's a lot of two tops and free wifi.
Heated pastries were quick and very good.
Absolutely amazing little place that was discovered when walking by. Super friendly service and kind owners. Will definitely come back for more cheese bread and mango juice!

I was a bit disappointed with my visit :( The worker could have been tired or something (it was the AM) but the greeting wasn’t very welcoming, rather deadpan. Being glued to the phone in the corner also didn’t help the service feel professional.
I ordered a chorizo and chicken empanada and they tasted dry and bland. Along with an iced matcha with oat milk, surprising me as unsweetened and a grainy consistency (maybe I should have specified but I thought matcha drinks generally came sweetened).

Pistachio coffee actually taste like Pistachio, rather than syrup. I know they probably use a syrup. But there's is the best. Strong too. I only drank half a small and I'm really feeling it. Thanks PiniPico
