This is a very fun place. I went during St.Patricks Day weekend. I had a delicious green Guinness. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very large. They have a big downstairs for private events.

Went late this afternoon after physical therapy close by. I was told over several years it was mediocre at best but I was hungry. Happy Hour. Fairly empty but it was about 4:00. Ordered chicken wings for $1.00 a piece. Thai sauce. Not great (way too spicy and fatty) but for the price - edible. I had 2 glasses of chardonnay not on HH. The HH selection was a bottle I can buy for $8.00 but would not touch. The wait staff was friendly, but the pours were at best 3 ounces each. The waiter did not tell me the price, but I figured for a tavern that always seems empty when I go by how much can it be? Bottle was half full, so I was more concerned it had sit open for days…Got my tab. Price was $15.00 for a 3oz pour! My wings were $6.00 and 6 oz of wine $30.00! I told wait staff and mgr when leaving how shocking this was for a wine I buy by the bottle for under $14.00. Manager stated they don't serve a 3oz pour! I basically said, BS. I go to high end restaurants where 4 oz of a much better wine would be $15.00. This is a rip off. The glass was 5 OZ and far less than half full. I know my wine, and I serve OJ in the tiny glass they poured in. I would never serve wine in their tiny glass. I will not go back to Pippens despite proximity to my residence and PT.

A very nice vibe, great selection of bourbon and whiskey, as well as beers. The chef was detailed in his meal prep and the staff was quick to get the meal out.
Cozy tavern feel with a relaxed, neighborhood vibe that makes it easy to settle in. Good spot for a casual drink and straightforward food without any pretense. Service was friendly and unforced, and the atmosphere feels more local than touristy. Not flashy, just comfortable and dependable, the kind of place you stop into without overthinking it.

I happened to pop in during happy hour since I was in town for business and I really liked the vibe, food, and service. I had the wings and a glass of wine. Issabella was so sweet and guided me through their happy hour menu and made great suggestions. I will be back next time but if you want to have a solo date or have a fun date night, this is your spot to go!
