For years I never knew this spot was the same as Pizano's on State St. Just never really looked at the sign despite having passed by there hundreds of times. The pizza is among the most expensive pizza I have ever paid for, but it's worth every penny.
They act surprised that you're actually ordering a slice of pizza lol. It has a somewhat unique crust that I don't really like, it's too dry. And you can never rely on there being slices available; one time I went there they only had pepperoni left which is no good cause I'm vegetarian. Sometimes you go up to the window and there's not anyone there and there's no bell or anything to ring so you either just gotta wait 10 minutes for the guy to come...
Stopped at the window to try a slice while walking around on a Sunday evening. $8 for a slice of sausage pizza (the last they had by the slice) and $2 for a bottle of water, all taxes included. The pizza was a fair deal. I liked the flavor of the toppings, the crust was ok. Service at the window was great. We ate standing on the sidewalk, no outdoor tables.
