Those who create a product usually know best how to make/produce it. That's the case here with the son of the person who created what the world knows as Chicago Deep Dish pizza running this small local chain. While the ingredients and toppings are key, as is the tomato sauce of course, it has to start, and end, with the crust. Crisp, flakey, buttery and just incredibly delicious. That they do put on a sweet fresh tomato sauce along with the other ingredients only serves to...
Traditional, tavern-style pizza is tasty, as was the Caesar salad. I've been here many times, but this was the first time I sat in a strange, small, bland room off the main dining room. The AC wasn't working so well, so it was hot and a little loud. That said, food and drinks were tasty and good value. This is the perfect spot to grab casual, tasty, and inexpensive food before the symphony or play. Next time I'll request a seat at the bar or main dining room, though.
Wonderful dining experience for my family of 7!! We ordered the toasted ravioli and fried calamari to start, and the meat lover's deep dish and Ann Marie's tortellini to share. This was more than enough for us and everything was delicious! They even had a chocolate chip cookie ice cream dessert for us to celebrate my son's birthday with. The service was wonderful as well...fun, quick and courteous. We would definitely go again. Thank you!
