I love this place and I love Giant. The crust is great, good texture and flavorful, and the cheese they use is top notch. Pepperonis were also high quality, if there’s a problem it lies with the sauce. There's hardly any, not even close to enough on either their tavern or NY style. Order the NY style with extra sauce. The tavern is so thin that there’s barely any room for sauce, if you care. Still solid tavern.

This is an updated review. The pizza here is really good. I have only had delivery. I ordered tavern thin. I imagine the pizza is a lot better straight out of the kitchen but I haven’t dined in. I believe the delivery is a third party. I usually try to avoid places that only offer third party delivery for two main reasons. One: I prefer the delivery money goes to a small business or individual and not a large corporation like Uber or Door Dash. Two: a person who works at the restaurant is more likely to care about the product and take steps to insure the quality of the product being delivered. But I’m getting off topic. If you like “Chicago style” thin crust pizza they have a very solid offering.

Just grabbed the Meatball grinder. Bread made to order. Might be the best meatball sub in town. Easy contender. Incredibly tender, sauce was perfect and the roll was incredible. 5 stars.

Amazing pizza! I always pass by here and finally decided to try it and it's hands down really good. They also have sodas that are made locally in Chicago which also are great! I tried the veggie slice and the sausage and tomatoes. Both amazing

This pizza is great! Owner is super friendly. I regularly stop in for a slice when I want something quick and affordable. I usually go for the cheese, but all their toppings are good. Their tavern style is also super thin and crispy if ordering a whole pie. Great neighborhood spot!

I’m really torn on how i feel about pizza matta. I’ve had it twice now and it’s definitely a good tavern style pizza but not worth the $40 that we paid for it. But it’s a good every now and then splurge

I'm a big fan of Giant and have been ordering from Pizza Matta since the store front opened. Their pizza is absolutely top tier and seems to keep getting better. Apple Salad is also excellent.

Beyond the food though, I appreciate the way Jason and his team approach their business. I went in for pickup the other night and Jason told me that something with off with one of the pies I ordered -- in his opinion a bit too greasy/slimy on top. He asked if I had time to wait for them to make it again cause it was not up to his standards. I had to run and said it was totally fine. He gave me a couple vouchers for some free slices instead.

And the irony is I didn't find the pizza overly greasy at all. It was excellent! Great team, great pizza, great addition to the neighborhood!

I've heard great things and the tavern pizza is exactly what I like, so I tried a tavern sausage pizza and the thai bbq wings.

Overall it was great, but the crust on the pizza was beyond well-done and into charred territory, which is typically one of my favorite parts so that was a bummer.

The Thai BBQ wings were good wings, but could've used a little more sauce.

One thing that would be a game changer for me is if they made house ranch. Getting ranch with the wings and it being a room temp packet of hidden valley was pretty disappointing. A house made ranch would be a huge upgrade IMO, and I'd be willing to pay extra for it.
