Delicious pizza dough. I bought cheese pizza. Overall tasty but a little salty. Also tried the wings. They didn't excite me. I recommend the pizza is delicious. Overall an atmospheric place

This is a charming little pizza spot. I've eaten here a couple of times now. I had to give an honest opinion. As a by the slice spot, it's lacking. The slice was just okay. I have tried their sausage and pepperoni a couple of times. It's a decent little slice. The taste is good, but there is nothing that stuck out to me. However, the 2 slices are not enough to fill a grown man. Their prices are too steep for me, but I'm sure they shine when you order a full pie. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. However, if you got the dough, give them a try. Also, go get a slice, taste for yourself.

Had about six pies from this place and they are good. Appreciate the long ferment times for the crust. Great ingredients and timely delivery. Keep it up and keep improving. On the way to being a legend.

Got pizzas and salads twice, delicious both times, the quality is sky-high! I do like more sauce so I now get the extra red sauce option. Among others, I especially recommend the bacon and jalapeños as toppings.

Incredibly crispy tavern style. Pizza Matta know how to bring the flavor, which is no surprise given that they’re the same folks who brought us Giant and Chef’s Special.

Super disappointed with this place. We got a red and a white pizza, and the pepperoni salad. While the quality of the toppings were decent, the crust was not great. The edges were burnt to a crisp and the center was too firm, not the cracker thin that is tavern style. Both pizzas were really lacking on the sauce. If you are going to order I would suggest extra sauce and a half bake.

Pizza Matta lives up to the hype - great tavern style pizza and even better service. Would highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for my daughter - the team gave her books to read and were so nice about the mess she made!

We had high expectations since all the reviews we’d read had been very positive. We were not disappointed. The apple salad was indeed huge and delicious and the tavern style pizza was perfect. Super thin and crispy and the sausage was glorious, not greasy at all and full of fennel seed flavor. Josh(one of the owners)took our order and chatted with us. He was extremely welcoming and kind. Even brought us glasses for the bottle of wine we brought with us. We also tried the Superman ice cream, which I hadn’t heard of before, that too is made in house and was delicious. There are 3 booths that fit 4 for seating and also just enough room for ordering at the counter and for people waiting for takeout and delivery orders. We went on Friday and were able to grab a table when we arrived around 5:30. Within 30-45 minutes, the other tables were occupied as well. We dined in since we wanted to try the pizza super fresh and hot. Wonderful experience and We’re looking forward to going again. Don’t miss out on this amazing pizza.

So...pizza Matta is like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, after transformation. The pizza is good. Damn good. Tavern style is super thin and crispy. Cheese is on point so are toppings. It's good. Almost too good. Like not "down and dirty" when you want to be "down and dirty". Eat this pizza in a pretty dress.

Pizza is amazing. It’s a super thin tavern style that reminded me of a cheese crisp. A bit pricey at $49.83 for a tavern style with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage and green peppers and two bottled sodas. The place doesn’t feel welcoming upon entering and the staff didn’t do much to educate us. We dined in but we weren’t offered any plates or napkins or anything. The pizza was served to go but I just grabbed napkins and ate out of the box.The place is very small but it reminded me exactly of any pizza place from western NY so I felt at home. I over heard the staff say they mainly do take out so I have to assume there isn’t much training for in-dining.One of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city for sure.

Asked for an extra dressing for a $22 salad and they made me pay $3 more. Order was 15 minutes late too. That sums it up. It takes more than good food to be a good restaurant. You should aim to not make customers resent you as they're walking out the door.

Thinnest tavern crust in town and insanely delicious across the board. If tavern style is your jam, this is your place. Good people doing good things here!

Was passing by, and seen this place for the first time, went inside and was very welcoming. The guy in front who took our order was very friendly and cool.( Don't remember his name) Hubby and I got the pepperoni Pizza slices and it was very delicious! The sauces they have upfront are soo good! Try the Pizza with the Habanero Lime hot sauce it's sooo hot but so good! Also the Hot Honey is good. Definitely coming back! Thanks!
