As a Brit, I want to *love* this place but the pies are just so damn dry. More fillings, less dough please.

it can be a little hard finding parking, but the food makes it worth it. i’ve never really had an british-style breakfast so this was a new but pleasant experience. the sauce on the curry chips was really good. i also really liked the mushroom and kale pie. it can feel a little dry at times so i wish i got it with the mash

Came here with my family a bit ago. The atomosphere is nice. We had a scotch egg, a steak and ale pie, and the chicken balti. I also had the classic margarita.
Everything was nice. I wish the scotch egg was made from quail egg because chicken egg is a bit too much. However the sausage was nice and the egg was cooked well.
The steak and ale pie we topped with the mash potatoes and gravy. It was good and the carrots inside were cooked perfect. The chicken balti was a bit plain tasting but you cant go wrong with it.
The margarita was perfect. Nice amount of salt, nice amount of sour, and tequila.
We'll come back during brunch time and give the royal english breakfast a try next.
All in all if you are looking for some English food in the city, you cannot go wrong with your visit at Pleasent House Pub.

Delicious food and drinks! Really liked the falafel burger and the chicken curry pie crowned with mashed potatoes and gravy. The chai latte was also really nice.

Me and 2 friends came in for a quick drink, but thanks to the young gentleman waiting on us we ended up getting appetizers and food also. Everything was amazing and ideally priced for the portions. Great place and atmosphere!

First time I had pleasant house was 4 years ago and I just bought a pot pie and didnt think it was anything special but this time I went with friends for dinner and topped it with mash and had the Mac n cheese as well. Everything was delicious. The mash really upgraded the pot pie. It would be nicer if it came with more gravy like it normally does in British pubs. The Mac n cheese was different in a good way, it had a very tangy zing. The server was clearly overloaded but was everywhere working hard. It was also nice not being rushed out

The chicken balti flavor was not how I remembered it to be. Still, I like the place overall.
