I will never return here. I attended an event here last weekend when a known rapist showed up at the club. He is currently banned from multiple Chicago events as well as many in his home state of South Carolina. A friend and I spoke to the manager about this man and she said without proof and without him doing something at Podlasie specifically, they can not ban him. I offered to share screenshots of the victim explaining their experience and screenshots of the accounts of many others who know what he has done and have their own experiences with him. I also offered to put the manager in touch with the other event organizers who have banned him, and she was not interested. She said there was nothing she could do but the truth is she is in charge and it would be more accurate to say there was nothing she was willing to do. I will not hang out somewhere that isnt a safe space and has no dedication to making the effort to be one. It is very disheartening what dangerous men are able to get away with. I encourage those, especially women, who value their safety to stay away from this venue.

came to check this place out after living in the area for years. the remodel is beautiful and staff gave fine service. The $20 cover threw me off though. I don’t recall seeing mention of it before going and I’ve been thinking about it since. Since I wasn’t there for a particular DJ it was totally not worth it to me and I probably won’t come back.

Great atmosphere. Hidden gem of a club. Great sound system and vibes. But cover charge isn't ever clear, and only accept cash for cover but will take card for drinks at the bar. Will direct you to ATM in the bar for cover charge. Would recommend follow them and lookup them up on Facebook before attending any event. Could be 5 out of 5. But for now a strong steady 4 out of 5.
The vibes are always right. It's a cool place but not intimidating. It's run by this kickass polish woman named Wioleta (Violet). If you see her around, say hi. She's super nice. Great place to dance. Check it out. It's super cute inside!!

PROS: Great DJs, lounge in front/dancefloor in back. Fun, laid-back crowd that comes to dance.
CONS: I wouldn't mind the steep cover charge if the drinks were better (mine were weak and spendy). So many plastic cups. The door price isn't advertised in event promos and it should be: it creates a bad vibe with patrons when expectations aren't clear. The dance area NEEDS better ventilation, as in oxygen: when it gets busy it's not necessarily hot, but the air gets hard to breathe.
