The food is pretty solid, but the people working here are gonna be weirdly mean to you 100% of the time no matter what you do. Wouldn’t be a big deal if you could just order, but the ingredients they have listed on the board are different from what’s available, and unless you’re good at identifying small chunks of various fish you’re going to have to ask.

Would still recommend, just don’t come by if you aren’t in the mood for bad bad vibes.

Some of the worst poke bowl I've ever had in Chicago. Nothing tasted fresh, there wasn't a single crisp texture in the bowl and the sauces were ill-suited for a fish and rice dish. Every single aspect of the food was off and not delicious in any way. Sorry to the team for this bitter review! :(

unfortunately this was the worst poke bowl i’ve had in the city! i really wanted to love it but the fish seemed old and the bowl was mostly rice and greens. DO NOT order the crab salad topping, it has no flavor at all!

Well, just stopped in . We used to order lunch from here all the time but after they turned the seafood portions into mini-scoops and increased the proportion of rice, we stopped going. Same this time. Not good value for the money.

This place is off our lunch list. No thank you. We order poki because we want a high protein lunch not a huge bowl of rice/carbs with essence of fish.

My new favorite lunch spot! If it had milkshakes it would be the most perfect place ever

If there's documentation around the shop I couldn't find it, would have helped.

UPDATE: Since my long ago review, the service took a very hard fall. They answer the phone with a "hello" like I'm calling their cell, had to even ask if I was calling the right place (awkward as hell). Normal Toppings that used to be free of charge, are now $1 each. I'm guessing it's a free for all and the kids that work here are badly trained.

Love poki!! Always great food quality. Freshness and yummy flavors is what it's all about. I will continue to tell folks all about this place because more people need to know. And their customer service is excellent as well!! When I first went in, I wasn't sure what to order and I told them it was my first time, so they help explain the whole thing to me!! Super friendly :)

I've been there twice and have absolutely loved it both times. I met the owner and he is really nice! The half brown rice half salad spicy tofu bowl, I added daikon, ginger, green onions, cucumber, and tempura crunch with the island head sauce. I can't wait to go back anytime I'm near one!

Tasty poke bowls. not my #1 choice of option but they're good still. Just wish they had a better drink selection online. What they have in store vs online does not reflect the same. They only sell alcohol online, however, they have non-alcoholic beverages in-store.

Do not get their TGTG surprise bags. They’ll load it with peppers and wasabi and other ingredients that are both inedible and not fresh to the point where it needs to be thrown out. From this experience I wouldn’t even try any items on their menu.
