I been here before and have catered, etc. but stopped in for a lighter meal and got the chicken chopped salad. Holy smokes, it was incredible. You'll never go back to Portillos for a chicken chopped salad once you try one from Pompeii. How good is it you ask? It's so good, if the chicken chopped salad was a person, I'd marry it! ?. By the way, the lemon knot cookies are also incredible. Basically, everything is great there, but I strongly recommend the chicken chopped salad.

Atmosphere: On Google, this looked like a wait to be seated, have a waiter restaurant-- this is incorrect. You seat yourself and order at the register. You're given a number and the food is brought to you.... just like Panera Bread. Nicely decorated atmosphere. The bathroom was clean. Service: The employees were friendly. Food comes out fast. Food: The food was hot, however, it was not appetizing. We had the fettuccine Alfredo, "homemade" spinach ravoli (far from homemade... definitely frozen), and the cheese garlic bread. I've had better Alfredo from Walmart jars and even from $1 Knorr pasta packets from Walmart. I do make my own Alfredo too, but despite this, the pasta dishes were not good at Pompei. They were very disappointing. I had to add Seasonings to my pasta and it still wasn't great. I'm not sure how they're keeping up with rent in the West Loop because the food simply was not good. The cheese garlic bread was okay.... pretty standard. Melted slice of cheese on top of bread. The complimentary plain bread came cold, with butter and was a little stale feeling. The Pompei Lemonade was actually just Minute Maid Lemonade from the fountain. I will not be returning. Maybe they're better at food items other than pasta. Disappointing, not fresh pasta, should not cost $15.99 each. We ended up spending $52 from what we ordered but it wasn't good.

A great place to grab lunch. I’m sure dinner is nice too, but this place is a block from work for me. Delicious food. Love their soups! Very friendly staff! Sit down restaurant quality, but fast food speed.

This is my second time going there today and the first time was bad I got the eggplants however they were edible so I didn’t complain today. I said, let me go back and try something different. Maybe a lot of people don’t order the eggplants maybe that dishes not their best Today I had lasagna the bottom of the lasagna I couldn’t even cut it with a fork. It was so bad it tasted horrible. I ordered a small house salad on the side so I can have it as an appetizer. The salad didn’t show up until the lasagna came together which is no problem. The salad was absolutely the worst salad I’ve ever tasted it, Chicago how can you mess up a lettuce, tomato, cucumber salad the lettuce was horrible. The tomatoes had spots on them and barely even had any onions in there. The ball of this salad was very small and they charged me 795 for the salad alone. My whole bill was $31 for the worst Italian meal you can possibly have. I can’t believe they have the audacity to even charge this much and before I even started eating I asked for a little bit of olive oil for the bread, I was told no I had to pay for it. Are you kidding me one dollars for a small piece of lasagna that doesn’t even taste good and it was made like two days ago stuck on the bottom of the plate and the lettuce salad that somehow you managed to mess up and you can’t even give people little bit of olive oil when they ask for it are you serious we have to pay for the olive oil. Also, save your money go to a sit down restaurant you’ll get way better service somewhere else With a server for probably five dollars more tip included. This was horrible never going back here again I only post this review because their prices are ridiculous for the quality of the food that you get. I don’t know how people go for pizza who knows but regular menu items don’t even bother ordering anything from the left side of the menu- eight dollars for that salad you should be ashamed of yourselves you should go out of business that is a crime. I don’t know how you think it’s OK to charge 795+ tax for that horrible salad that you’re serving at a house salad at least make sure the lettuce is in. Good quality, 1595 for a piece of sticky lasagna at least make sure the food is good the prices you charge for the amount of food that you give and the quality wow wow And then you guys have the nerves to be asking for a tip at the cashier without any servant staff, and the one person walking around is rude. Oh no, I’m glad I didn’t tip her at the cashier.

One of the best places for cannoli, which they make on demand.

I had better chicken parm at Fazolies. The food here was luke warm and dry. I am guessing a lot of the other amazing reviews are not correct. I definitely will not be back. The service was super fast, I am guessing that's the case because nothing is made fresh, but for that reason, they get 1 star for that category. Save your money and go to a real Italian restaurant.

Good decent pizza. Cafeteria style ordering. Main complaint is we had half a pizza left and they said they had no boxes, so we were given parchment paper and a brown paper bag. Not sure how you'd take your uneaten pasta leftovers home?

I ordered 2 chicken chop salads and i did ask for the House dressing, which i thought that was the dressing that is always comes with. I ended up with Italian House dressing, which I never said the word Italian. I feel like the person who took my order should have clarified that with me. Now I'm stuck with two salads that cost me $25 dollars and will not be eating, cause I'm at work and I don't have salad dressing in my desk. They did offer to change it out, but I'm already at work, parked my car and walk a block to work. Very disappointed. They always deliver to to my job. I feel should have offered to bring me the salad dressing.... Waste of my MONEY
