Bought a package for 4 for a dinner and a show, the food was horrible, tho they claimed to have vegetarian options online (and my partner did call to see that they have it) they DID NOT have any option beside give me 2 extra sides. The Mash potatoes was clearly FROM POWDER! We even tried their dessert which was disappointing! At the end of the pre-paid meal we got a bill for $60+ which was $13 per person for service AND an extra $10 for service. I called the manager to compl

This place should be called, Dog chop! We waited for the Pork Chop restaurant on Grand in Chicago to be opened for three months. Only to be supremely disappointed! My coworker order the wings, boy! Was he in for a world of Hurt!! When they brought the wings to the table, we all could clearly see that the moisture had been suck out of them like a vacuum sucks dirt out of a rug! One word: "Dry" He couldn't eat them, when he told the waiter, they brought out a second batch, which he couldn't eat them. On top of that the price is "WAY HIGH" and the portions are for a 3 year old baby girl. What a shame, it would be better if they served slop!! Signed "Disgusted"

They are finally closed down and have been for the past 2 weeks or more. For a restaurant for bad, tasteless food, their main attraction was the music, social, and watered-down drinks they offered during a pandemic. Caused a lot of neighborhood disturbance.

I purchased the chicken sandwich that included coleslaw. When my order arrived, it was without the slaw and the plate was filled with grease. I talked to the waitress about coleslaw not being on the sandwich and she told me they no longer serve it that way. I would’ve appreciated knowing this at the time of my order. She did apologize for the excessive grease. I will not return.

My husband placed our order to be delivered by Uber Eats. After 2 drivers attempted to pick up the order, we finally received our ICY COLD & tasteless food from a 3rd driver. The shrimp had so much corn meal coating, I couldn't taste them. The catfish nuggets were a little better, but definitely nothing special. The rib tips were dry, the cornbread was extremely sweet and the fries were the greasiest I've ever had! Sorry Porkchop - this order was my first AND last! Plus, the Uber Eats driver said you've moved your location w/o informing the delivery service. WOW! This was a HOT MESS!

We were at the Porkchop restaurant on Grand ave. Food was great, service was decent. Bessy, the initial server that helped us was rude and clearly not interested in helping us. She did not listen to us when we ordered, told us about all the up charges every time we mentioned what we wanted to order. She was abrasive and made our experience sour. Candice, the other server, was very sweet and helpful. She saved the day. If we go back and are seated at Bessys table, we will not stay. If you do go, try the fried ribs!

I love Pork Chop, really enjoyed the Glenwood, IL location but they moved/closed some the staff were not meat eaters so they were not concerned about the quality they were issuing. Not fair to the staff that did care, but Hyde Park has an ambiance of it's own. Dark, cozy, and if you are with your Boo "perfect" for a romantic candle lit Evening. Pork Chop has always had a stage for entertainment so that is a HUGE PLUS, this location has a WELL STOCKED BAR!!!! My Son wanted to take me out for Valentine's and given cheaper options he still chose Pork Chop, we normally hit them once or twice a year-- so ok. Had never known them to up charge for "premium sides" but I enjoyed my BBQ 2 COMBO and He loves their Cajun Fettuccine, so all was fine Bread Pudding was dessert(he was not a fan of the Red Beans). He didn't like the bill total, so Mom helped and we were on our way.... Thanks

This was my husband's and I first time ordering from Pork Chop on Saturday, the night before Valentine's Day. We both were so disappointed! I ordered the 2 meat combo with rib tips and brisket. The tips had absolutely no seasoning and they had been boiled. The brisket no seasoning and they had the nerve to throw barbecue sauce on it! My husbands order was the platter and the only thing he actually ate was the cornbread, his entire order of had no flavor but was slathered in barbecue sauce. To top it all of they DID NOT give us any utensils, napkins, or condiments. It was our first and LAST TIME EVER GOING THERE!

The fries were mushy and tasteless but the chicken was pretty good, and slightly better than I expected after reading some of the horror stories on Yelp. This is a decent option for takeout or delivery during the Covid pandemic if you're in the area, and a good deal for the price.
