11/2023 3* Food was pretty good. Chicken Cheddar sandwich was a bit lite on the chicken. But pretty tasty. Service was ok. Just ok.I ordered Chili with my sandwich in the beginning and the person nodded his head towards the next person on the line.The 2nd person had cleaning to do, so my sandwich came off the end of the grill and waited until they finished cleaning. 2-3 minutes of waiting, not 30 seconds. Even a hang on please would have been nicer at least. So I asked about the chili and they gave a crazy look like I was dumb or something. And nodded towards the last stop on my journey, the cashier.So the Large Chili I originally ordered, I never got. The cashier got me a cup (rather than the large) and charged me for a cup. Their loss for the business I guess. Cashier could not keep up with another person coming in the middle of my transaction and asking for his mobile order. Had to remind the guy that I ordered and paid for Chili. Then he gave it to me with my sandwich.Maybe I should have picked a less crowded time. I was the only one in the restaurant. Maybe that was too many people for them to handle politely.

The support for Potbelly is absolutely terrible. I ordered online for delivery and after submitting my order, it changed to pick up. I called the store and told the manager what happened, he told me that was strange since they were getting other delivery orders. And so he told me he would process the refund and told me to order again. I ordered again and the same thing happened, I called and asked if there was a way they could just deliver it since I didn't have a car to pick up, he told me no and he will process the refund. After waiting a couple weeks I didn't see a refund. I submitted a support claim online and they deferred me to the store. So I called the store, the manager remembered me and sounded surprised I didn't get it yet. He claimed to have processed it again, but after a few more weeks still no refund for the two orders that totaled almost $100. So I again contacted support online and nothing. I finally was able to go to the store to talk to the manager in person, the assistant manager was there and gave me the email of upper management and assured me this person would take care of my refund. I emailed them, waited a few weeks, sent a follow up email, still no response and no refund. I sent multiple claims online and no response and no refund. The management at the store level was nice and seemed willing to help, but there has been no action taken and no support by upper management or their online support to help. It's been more than a year and I'm still so shocked at the nonresponse and lack of care to refund a customer because of the company's online ordering error.

Steakhouse beef sandwich on wheat. Tasty & toasty sandwich with Angus roast beef, blue cheese provolone and horseradish aioli. With a large fountain drink about $15 and served up in about 3 minutes. They also have bottled sparkling water and an assortment of root beer. It is the slow season in Chicago this time of year and there was no line at 1100 AM. A chocolate chip cookie ? was the perfect desert. Try Potbelly Sandwich Works, you will not be disappointed. Now, back to exploring the Public Art of Chicago and the Pedway underground walk way system.

Can't complain about the food, however, the service is slow. I had ordered a sub on-line via their app. Per the app, the order will be ready in 15 minutes. So I proceeded to walk to the restaurant, there wasn't a line to pick up mobile orders or to place orders. I don't know what happened but it seemed line people walking in and ordering was receiving their meals quicker than the people using the app. Finally about 13 minutes after the time promised, I finally received my order. Lesson learned.... not to order through their app.

The staff here are always very quick, helpful, and clear even when very busy.

Menu was a bit hard for first time should be a simple selection of flavor bun and size but is the other way around. Tried the roast beef excellent did not know it was toasted. Not sure if that is standard or they just don't ask and assume. Will be back.

Only went here because I was starving before work and yet again received 2 small pieces of Turkey for my sandwich. Every time I go it’s something. Maybe retrain on making sandwiches because at this point the food should be free.

The occasional error is expected but this location has gotten very sloppy.I don't mind repeating my order to ensure I get the correct sandwich, I feel staff should also be comfortable w/repeating the order. Good customer service stats w/being able to talk to people w/out eye rolls.
