I always order from this location and the employees are pretty friendly. I did have an issue with my order but when I called they were very helpful and patient even though it was almost closing time!

Some of the friendliest employees I’ve met. They handle the high school lunch time rush very efficiently. Great location!!!

Wish I got the name of the young adult who made my meal today. I came in 04/01 quickly to grab a bite to go. The place was quiet, and quick to grab something. I’m surprised since it’s lane tech area, you know. My order was made quickly, and on point! I went to the restroom quickly to wash my hands, and the young man waited for me to approve the hot peppers on my sub. I left, and realized that this sub was STACKED. I’m talking about I haven’t had pot belly’s in a year or more…because the hip mall area one really just threw me off once..ANYWHO, shoutout to the young gentleman who made my order today. I got two chicken salads with provolone..everything on it. It was ????????!!!! Mind you it was around 330PM or so. On a Saturday while Wrigley was on twenty out of ten!

There are 2 employees that are always working at night together when i stop in. They clearly don't care about their jobs and 2 times now they have given me a completely different order. I don't get how asking for a skinny tuna sandwich translates into a bowl of Mac and cheese...but ok! The restaurant itself is always a mess- always food left on tables (that's also on patrons for not cleaning up after themselves), but aspects of the ambiance such as lighting, garbage cans, and overall cleanliness are awful. Trash is always full. I don't recommend coming to this location!

Walked in today literally not even busy. Right before I walked in, a group of young girls walked in and went straight to the girl at the register. I'm assuming those are her girlfriend and she is also in high school. I walk over to place my order and I know she saw me walk in (the girl at the register) and she didn't even walk over my way to acknowledge me or take my order. She called for the gentleman at the back to help her because she was busy talking to her friends. And even then it took forever for my salad to be made and mind you it is not even busy. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews on businesses, however it is frustrating when it's not even busy and the staff are still not even trying and are caring moreAbout Lolly gagging with their friends instead of serving the customers. I love potbelly, but they need to do better with service because this is ridiculous.

Great Potbelly! The parking lot is a hot mess. (Not their fault)

Terribly made sandwich, was like a shell of what it should have been. Missing ingredients. Barely any meat and cheese, mostly just sloppy mayonnaise bread.

the staff treats their customers so poorly! not only did i wait 50 minutes for my mobile order last week (it was supposed to be ready at 11:40 and i didn’t get my order until 12:30) but one of the staff members kicked out me along with my friends from being seating for more than 15 minutes. we all had potbelly orders that we were either still waiting for or eating. we weren’t being disrespectful, or loud. the employee kicked us out for no reason, even though we were all paying customers. we have all been there multiple times and haven’t ever heard of a “15 minute seating policy” that the employee claimed they had (it was not posted anywhere either) they have terrible customer service, and i will not be coming back.

12:15pm Nov 11 Kicked out by some lady with a ponytail with a blue hat. A group of us: more than half of us bought food and we're kicked out on no probable cause. We were all still eating our Potbelly food and she told us that it had been more than 15 minutes, when there was no visible sign that there could only be a seating time of that time interval. As regulars, this rule was unheard of. We were not being loud, or disrespectful. Next time, maybe teach your employees to treat regular customers with respect.

I very respectfully asked for extra of 3 condiments and didn’t get them. In my face, they verbally confirmed this request as they prepared my sandwich. I even TIPPED BEFORE TASTING; entrusting them. Never again.Staff SEEMED kind, but….. actions speak louder than fake tones/words. NEVER tip if you don’t know the quality of someone’s work is guaranteed.

I live close and pop by almost once a week. Very rarely is it a smooth experience. My partner and I compare our Potbelly experiences and we laugh about it. We check weekly for new reviews on this place because I can totally see these happening. It's like someone is reading my mind. I finally decided to share my review after many visits. Sometimes, I'll come in and stand in line for 4-5 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. Those days, I just leave because I don't feel like being ignored and food being made wrong. The 2nd to last time I came in, I got double charged because the previous order was never cleared from the screen. It took quite a while for the manager to come over because they were chatting up a visitor. That day, I had a cold sandwich. Before that, I had a great experience where the line moved really quickly. Food tasted great + hot and the cashier was actually nice. This is why I keep coming back. Hoping for more experiences like that. Plus where else are you going to get a Chicken Club so close to home. The time before that, I ordered the meal deal with a large drink. Paid and tipped 20%. The associate handed me a small cup. I said I ordered the large cup. She looked at the receipt and said, "but I didn't put that in, so you're getting the small." I said but you know I asked for the large. She said okay and just stared at me. I told her I would pay the difference the. She said, "Oh My God" and handed me the large cup and walked away. Really? I did get food poisoning here about a year ago, so I make sure never to get the soup near closing time. :-/ Coming to Potbelly's on Western is like playing Russian Roulette. It's possible to get a super tasty meal, but it's also possible to walk out the door with no food/the wrong food/charged incorrectly/or be yelled at. You'll literally never know what you're going to get. Anyway, writing this is making me hungry. I wonder what my next experience will entail. ‍

I order from Potbelly a few times a month. I order mostly from the store in Lincoln Square but sometimes order from this store. I will not be coming back to this Potbelly. Using the App, it's a 50/50 chance that my order will be ready even 10 minutes later than I'm told it would be. A couple of weeks ago, with just two other customers in the store it took them an eternity to make my sandwich, then had to remake it because they got it wrong. A few days ago, I picked up my sandwich and the bag felt lighter in weight than it should. I get double meat on all my orders and this didn't feel like double meat. I opened the bag in my car to see that it was definitely NOT double meat. When I walked back into tell the staff, I was told that I got double meat, but the Potbelly meat is now cut thinner. I was pretty unhappy that was what a double meat sandwich would be like going forward. Until I got a double meat sandwich at Lincoln Square today. Surprise! It was as always. Lincoln Square is not very far from this location. Go to Lincoln Square.

This location is great!! They are always busy or at least the times when I've been there. Staff is friendly and kind. Sandwiches are made fast but with care. I never feel rushed or dismissed. My food has always been fresh and delicious! Forewarning if you go during the afternoon during the school year there will be loud high schoolers there!

Not about the food, but about the customer service at this place. Long story short, I found them to be rude and unhelpful. Before Covid, my son lost his wallet there at lunchtime. He was a student at Lane Tech. When he realized he left it, he checked his tile app and it was showing up at the restaurant. So, he left school early and went back to the place. He asked the cashiers and they said nothing was turned in. The tile was in lost mode, which means it will play a tune if we come within 30 feet of it---and your phone will tell you you are very near it. But, he got nothing---he walked around and could not hear the sound. My son started looking around the restaurant and was questioned by someone in there as to what he was doing. Since he could not hear a sound and Tile said he was nearby, he was thinking maybe it was ditched outside. So, he walked the perimeter of the restaurant several times, but nothing. He went back to the school to get his ride home, but his ride left. Now, no ride, no wallet, and his Ventra card in his wallet. It was going to take me 40 minutes thru rush hour traffic to get to him. Puzzled by why the Tile app still kept registering at the restaurant, I called and asked if the garbage has been thrown out and if they can do a sweep for me. They told me my son was more than welcome to come back and keep looking. 40 minutes later, I went into the restaurant, I hit the locate beacon--and I could clearly hear the sound of the Tile App coming from their restroom. The cash was gone. Weird how when my son was walking around looking the sound could not be heard, and 40 minutes later--I do the same thing, hear the sound within 30 seconds--and it's in the bathroom.
