Their breakfast options are under-advertised. Their egg sandwiches are some of the best I’ve tried in Chicago and their Bagels might be the best you can get outside of NYC.
The staff are exhibiting the perfect combination of friendly, courteous, and professional.
Their coffee beans and barista skills are impeccable. I wish they had better tea options and they had better (non-latte matcha - hand whisked?)

An adorable and quaint coffee shop. The space is clean and welcoming. Service was outstanding. The chai was just perfectly spiced. I regret not getting a pastry, but their drinks were on point.

Vibe is vibing. Very friendly staff right from the start. And very helpful with their menu. I got the lavender rose matcha and some baked good. Sooooo yummy. We actually stayed a while and really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Prequel Cafe is a must visit if you’re in Chicago!! From the friendly staff, retro-feel atmosphere, amazing food and coffee, it is an experience you won’t want to miss. I recommend the honey cinnamon latte and the pastrami breakfast sandwich!!

By far the best coffee shop in Ukrainian Village and my favorite in Chicago. Excellently curated coffee sourcing, great espresso drinks, friendly and happy staff, house made baked goods (including a fabulous bagel).

We were in the area and popped in here for some pastries and coffee. The space is quaint and cool and the baristas were welcoming and friendly. We ordered iced brown sugar cardamom lattes made with house-made syrup. For pastries, we ordered a blackberry pistachio bostock and a double chocolate chunk cookie. The lattes were good but needed more flavor- we mostly tasted the espresso. The pastries were both delicious- I still think about them weeks later 🤤 I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this cafe a try!
