I don't recall when was the last time I've visited this location or ordered it online. After selling my car, I started trying to find locations closer to me and stopped buying food from here as much. Although one other restaurant has better Thai fried rice with tofu (but located on the South Side), Pride Sushi & Thai puts them to shame when it comes to sweet potato maki rolls, avocado maki rolls, fried tofu with peanuts, edamame and spicy miso soup, which is what I order 99% of the time. My birthday was this week, and I was trying to think of food to order that my omnivore family would like too. This one popped into my head, and we ordered some meat dishes for them too.)
Because I've been here so many times (including when the restaurant used to have a different name and [I believe] different owners), I know they know me by face. I usually smile and wave. I've brought family, friends and co-workers here too.
The brother owner (don't recall his name right now) sat down with me once for a few minutes, and he was a delight. His sister (Ae?) is my restaurateur buddy too! But I don't believe I've seen either of them in at least a year. When I opened the door to get the delivery and saw her, I think she was surprised to see me because the order was under a family member's name. I gave her a big hug before before I even thought about the usual wave or handshake. I just love those two. They're always so friendly and warm and nice to me. Only thing competing with them is the food!
My last review is a few years old, but I wanted to update this review to say absolutely nothing has changed. They're still 5 out of 5 with me! The food was amazing, as it always is.

Came here for lunch with a friend and the food was AMAZING! They had good music, service, and the tea was scrumptious. Appetizers were lovely! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good social setting and yummy food!
Update: I don't know why my photos didn't upload. Just added them today.

The service was excellent and they gave me good options for my first try at this establishment. I got the godzilla roll and everything about it was amazing. I am a huge sushi guy and I’ll say this place is up there in that realm. I wish I took a picture of the plate because the presentation was great too it was like art! Highly recommend stopping by.

Pride Sushi & Thai on Peterson Ave is a cozy spot that delivers big on flavor. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the Pad Kee Mao with tofu and the Basil Fried Rice with shrimp. Both dishes were packed with bold, aromatic spices and generous portions. The tofu was perfectly crispy, and the shrimp was tender. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed—perfect for a midday meal. Definitely a go-to for satisfying your sushi and Thai cravings.

Green curry was very good, the chef has been there for 12 years, contemporary Thai music fairly loud was good as well, since I sat by the window, noticed they need more pride cleaning all the windows, really dirty as well as the door. It’s your real pride to keep your place spotless so customers feel good about eating there instead of take out only…

Solid spot for sushi in the neighborhood. I grabbed the spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and pad see ew—came out to about $40 with tip. Sushi was fresh and tasty, and the pad see ew had good flavor, just wish it had a little more kick. Chill atmosphere, nice staff, but service was kinda slow on a weekday night. Still, I’d come back—good bang for your buck in the area.

Was not impressed w the dried up sesame chicken and lack of service. Not sure this place is going to be around much longer if this is how they run their shop.
Absolutely love this place. The services is always incredibly quick and kind.
It’s my go to staple in the neighborhood. Pad See-Ewe is my favorite dish, the savory brown sauce, thick noodles, and fresh broccoli is always spot on. I usually get mine with tofu. The Pad thai is great as well as crab Rangoon, Thai curry fried ride, and I never pass up a seaweed salad! My husband and I usually will get a roll of sushi and he gets the sesame or teriyaki chicken.
I thought the food wasn’t very good and was disappointed.
Great food, 4/5 stars for small portions.
Nice atmosphere, service by an inexperienced waiter, but kind.
Love this place, the food is delicious! Anything I’ve ordered has been amazing and my friends say the same!
