A real german gem. Food very good , great selection if beers and atmosphere will bring you back to Germany for 1 night. Staff very kind and helpful. I will definitely go back!

We’ve been coming here regularly for the last 10 years and have never had any issues and enjoy the food and beer. Although the last few times we’ve tried we’ve been very disappointed- We came in on a Sunday at 12:30 to watch football and have food, but the opening bartender had almost none of the bar prepped, still removing plastic wrap and caps, none of the TVs set to any relevant football game (always something with the tv’s here too) and then make us wait 10 minutes while they fetch ice before taking our beer order. So we just left. Second time was recently when we came in at 8:45 on a Tuesday, and the kitchen was already closed. Either be true to your hours you have listed or just don’t be open so nobody is wasting their time.

Fun atmosphere, feels like you walked into Germany. The large Bavarian pretzel is the staple along with the sausage board. Services was lacking a little, but it was because someone was working by themselves. Bathrooms can use some work, has a weird sewage smell.

1st time here and it was such a great place for food, drinks (beer) sports and fun employees. When entering into the bar/restaurant, it took a quick min to realize that it is open seating with long benches for family style seating too. After sitting down, Dan, our server, was quick to get us menus and explain a few things to us. We looked over the menu and it was like he was reading our minds, because we were ready to order drinks and app. Dan was the best, checked on us joked with us and made us feel like we were really family. about an hr into being there, we ordered food, thankfully the mis-order was a blessing in disguise, 2 of us ordered the pork Stitzel (we only got 1) and 1 person ordered the corn beef sandwich. The food was amazing and HUGE portions too, thankfully the mis-order of the pork was wasn't a deal breaker for us because the size of the pork we got literally could have fed 3 people. All of the staff were amazing, but Dan was our man. I can't wait to go back and try more.

I really want to like this place. It has a lot of charm and character.
It could be better with just a few improvements. Particularly the dining area. It should be cleaned better and straightened up. Food is good.

The food was quite good. The waiter/bartender was nice and attentive. I had the brisket wurst. Tasty. The potato pancakes were great. Ask for double apple sauce. There weren't many people in the place on a Sunday evening, but even then, it's loud. Even more so when an El train goes over the bar. The trains added to the ambiance and gave me a moment to think about what I was saying. T
