Excellent bar servers and large drinks during this Trumpademic, making our walks on Morse Avenue to and from the beach especially delightful. We're looking forward to trying the inside service once life gets back to something like normal.
I would always frequent 626 Pub when I lived in Rogers Park. It's located just off of the Morse Red Line stop, so it made the decision to grab a quick drink or meal after a long commute a no-brainer. The service is usually excellent, and the facilities are kept at reasonable (for a bar) levels of cleanliness.
So this is a cavernous sports bar with tasty, greasy food, mediocre drinks (esp. if you like good beer), and zero ambience. Service for us was OK, but not great - about what you'd expect. Food needs to be better -- both of us felt bad all night afterwards, probably because the fryer oil hadn't been changed in too long. We both tried different featured burgers, which tasted very good despite neither one being cooked as ordered (both came well done, nowhere close to medium),...
