An absolute neighborhood gem! The food was fresh and delicious. From the minute my husband and I walked in we felt super welcomed. The owner, Dr. Lulu is so kind, funny, and welcoming. We live in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Great pozole, great nachos, fantastic lengua, asada cut for tacos is perfecta and tasty, and the fish tacos are actual fish—sooo good! We enjoyed the hospitality and we will definitely be returning! Try the café de casa! Delicious! It was also very nice to see how many regulars she has. You could tell everyone enjoyed Dr. Lulu’s bright personality .

I can't describe in enough detail how good this place is. The food, the drinks, the salsas, the pozole, the tacos 10/10. I've been searching for a taco spot for about a year now that makes me want to come back and this place is 100% it. I'm gonna spend so much money here especially once winter hits.

Why had it taken me so long to go here? The food was incredible - I had steak tacos and my husband had a steak burrito. Kids had quesadillas and a steak taco. The food was flavorful and the portions were more than enough. My oldest kid who barely enjoys meat devoured her steak! Lulu even gave us a complementary small bowl of her meatball stew (great depth of flavor!) that she’s going to serve every Friday during winter. As soon as we walked in she gave us fist bumps and smiles - my kids were immediately drawn to her. We finished our meal with a slice of flan cake. This place is an absolute gem and we cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend checking it out!

I love coming to Pueblo Nuevo. It’s so cozy and I always feel so welcome. The mole is delicious and at so many Mexican restaurants, the rice is dry and flavorless, but not here. The portions are big and the tortillas are fresh. I love their coffee too. I don’t eat meat, so I have the breakfast dishes usually and they are so well done. Or they make me a vegetarian burrito and it is quite filling. The service is great. The food is cooked right then and there in the back. There’s always street parking on Central Ave. they don’t do delivery, but they do pick up, and the food is ready right away. I enjoy it more when I’m at the restaurant.

Don’t let the facade fool you. Amazingly greeted, fast service, food homemade taste. Authentic pambazo & exquisite pozole. Highly recommend. You get to see their clean kitchen as you go to restroom on back of the house. Safe parking right upfront, where you can keep an eye on your car. Congratulations for great service
