I absolutely adore this place! It’s my go-to spot when Chicago’s chilly weather starts to set in. The customer service is always top-notch, and I want to express my gratitude to Jos for their exceptional attention to detail tonight!

Came here for dinner with a friend and we ordered the shrimp pork and leek steamed dumplings, lamb coriander steamed dumplings, and the beef skewers. The food tasted like traditional Chinese dumplings and they were very good. We gave the shrimp pork and leek dumpling an 8.4/10, the lamb dumpling a 7/10, and the beef skewers a 8/10.

In my opinion best soup dumplings hands down. Pork and cabbage are my favorite followed by wagyu beef. Love sipping on herbal teas, I swear I always feel so much better after a pot of their tea. This place is always busy, but they really know how to get tables in and out. Go inside and get on the wait list via the tablet. The wait is worth every second. Other menus items are great as well. Lambs skewers area delicious.

A surprise find! Ordered 3 kinds of dumplings and they were all delicious! The crab roe and pork steamed were my favorite! The beef and onion were juicy and delicious. The vegetarian with tofu and cabbage was fresh.
The flavors were on point and the best part was most of the dumplings had soup inside! Almost like XLB, soup dumplings! It was a welcomed surprise, so be careful when you bite into your first one! Soup can spray at you!
Had the wood ear mushroom and spicy potato appetizers. Service was friendly and fast. Oolong tea we ordered was a great compliment.
Recommended.

A complete package.
Qing Xiang Yuan is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Eric is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Awesome dumplings. Must come back. 10/10.
This was my first time in Chicago Chinatown and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so welcoming and the food was fantastic. It was my first time trying a dumpling and it set a high bar. Everything there is made fresh. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town.

The service runs like a perfect engine. Everything arrives fast: your table, the menus, the water glasses, the food, the check.
Sometimes it felt too fast. There was always a server over our sholders.
But I get it. They try to get people in and out as quickly as possible, which bothered me a bit, but they are equally respectful, so it was ok.
I found the dumplings overpriced. On the positive side, they were fresh . The lamb and corriander was very good. Other options like pork and cabbage and the shrimp and chives felt boring.
So I am giving it 3 starts overall. There are better options in the area, but it is not bad.

The best dumplings in the area. I have tried just about every flavor, and you really cannot go wrong. I prefer steamed, but pan fried is good as well. The service is excellent, and the inside is very clean. The price is steep, however, you get what you pay for and it is a wonderful treat for special occasions. I return often and I get excited to show my friends and acquaintances this establishment.

For long wait times, they have an online wait-list you can join on Yelp. Got the pork/shrimp/leek and uni dumplings -- both were so delicious! The food comes out very quickly. Everything is very aesthetic - furniture and decor.
