A private club with a lovely bar and delicious cocktails. The University vibe is strong as it is in the heart of campus.
This evening we attended a cocktail workshop and tasting with Koval distillery -- good fun and tasty drinks. The seasonal ravioli special was delicious too!
I went here with our choir and we had a quite bad experience. The service personnel seemed very stressed and was acting a bit rude. Took plates without making sure that the person was done, dropped cutlery in the lap of the dining people. Poured wine in a glass with ginger beer,
Also we were promised that it would be ok to pay by invoice, but the day after we were told to come back and pay by card. And they had to take all my numbers instead of charge it on a machine. I still haven't gotten an invoice or receipt either...
The woman at the front desk was very helpful and polite though, so is just the restaurant that was the problem.
Beautiful old hotel. Classy back in the day. Carpets were dirty and torn. Air Conditioning did not work effectively in room - it remained 80 degrees in the room all night. Saw a cockroach running along the floor under a radiator. No elevator available, which was an issue for my 93 year old Mom.
The wedding preparation (hair and makeup, suits and ties) and the wedding reception were so well organized and staff were extremely helpful and friendly!! This venue provides old world charm!!
At the suggestion of a family member, I called to inquire about availability during our upcoming visit to Chicago.
Trelinda, a woman with the loveliest demeanor of all times, welcomed our questions and made us feel at home. We immediately reserved rooms, trusting that we would have a first class experience....AND WE DID!!!
The rooms are elegantly furnished with European Old World Inspiration.
Fireplace, furnished library, were among the ample amenities included. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our every need.
The lovely GiGi (pictured here) went above and beyond to deliver optimal service. We just love her to pieces!
Thanks again... Ms. Trelinda. You're the absolute best. We hope to meet you in person next time. We will be back!!!
Stayed at The Quadrangle Club while attending a family wedding and it was a miserable experience. The Air Conditioning in the room was non-operational. The room never got below 78 degrees with temps regularly in the high 80’s. This was an incredibly stressful environment with 2 small children. The front desk contacted the maintenance department about the issue and the only solution given was to “crack a window”. It is so unfortunate that my family being miserable in this hotel is the only memory we will have of an other wise great wedding weekend. If you are looking at hosting a wedding at the Quad Club during summer, reserve a block of hotel rooms somewhere else.
Excellent place to stay for visit to University of Chicago. Straight out of The Great Gatsby.
Great location and wonderful service. The room is really cute.
Our stay at The Quadrangle Club could not have been better. Terrific location on the historic University of Chicago campus, wonderful restaurant and elegant, historic rooms - we could go on and on. Above all, the staff at the hotel was always professional and welcoming. Thank you!
This place is historic. I dealt with Trelinda, who works the front desk and events.... she is a very nice person.... thank you Trelinda

If you are fortunate to find a way in, The Club is old school charm. The food and music in the lounge is top notch. Amazing attention to service. Nonpareil
No local tv, nowhere for toiletries in the old tub shower. Barely enough space to get between the bed and the bathroom. Old and dirty looking. Need an it degree to get tv to work. One hard desk chair with nowhere else to sit. Can't call the front desk from room phone. Shower head so small and old. No plug anywhere near a mirror for hair dryer.
Average food. Good location.

My daughter and son-in-law recently hosted their wedding at the Quad Club. From start to finish, the event was spectacular! Rehearsal dinner for 20 was held in a private meeting room, with service and food impeccable. The wedding was officiated in the Library, appointed with GORGEOUS velvet-cushioned chairs amidst book-case lined walls, providing a stately and comfortable atmosphere as the late afternoon autumn sunlight streamed through the lead-glass windows. After vows, all processed to the gorgeous great hall that overlooked the clay tennis courts to mix and mingle while drinking cocktails and taking "photo-booth" shots. Dinner was next in the ballroom, starting with a flashy and fun entrance/introduction of the wedding party. Our 115 guests enjoyed a sumptuous 5-course sit-down meal, served between rounds of speeches: 3 courses, 3 speeches; then final courses and cake cutting, final speeches; all with toasts interspersed. Then dancing! I highly recommend anyone to hold their wedding event at the Quad Club! It was a weekend to remember. (BTW,there are guest rooms for out of towners and street parking was easy to find, safe, and FREE.)
