12/5/2025 - Dinner - 5:00pm Visiting Chicago from Austin, Tx 1st - it goes without saying this is a 5 Star restaurant. We arrived at 5 PM and within an hour the place was totally packed!! Hereās why ! This is a happenin place. Thereās a lot of noise and excitement ! You couldnāt miss the energy ! If youāre looking for a quiet ,quaint, intimate dinner, this might not be the place on a Friday night.
Interesting note to management : We experienced the Architect/Pedway tour with a passionate tour guide whoād worked at the architectural firm that built the āSales Forceā building here in Chicago . When asked for a GOOD dinner recommendation, he said, ā Oh, Quartino for sure!ā (Wish I could remember his name - ugh.) Cool ā¦ Right ?

Good casual Italian and festive atmosphere. Service can be slow at times when busy but always friendly and attentive. Plates come out family style which works better when sharing but always is a go to spot when we are in Chicago. Try the Italian style cheese fondue and also the tiramisu (which is not on the menu)

2nd - Our Waiter was Drew. He was so easy going. He gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. We decided on a bottle of wine to start. Thereās bread, Balsamic, Olive Oil on the table to pique your appetite.
Next we split part of a huge Quartino Salumi Salad. (1/2 had to go back to the hotel for later)
Drew quickly read the vibe and realized we wanted a slow relaxing dinner.
Drew brought the salad and said, āgive me nod when youāre ready to order your main course.ā Drew did not rush us in any way. No impatience. No rush ! Iām here to say ā¦. A waiter can make or break the whole experience Needless to say, Drew knocked it out of the park !
At this particular restaurant youāre able to order 1/2 an entrĆ©e. This was a huge plus. We just canāt eat as much as we used to.
The food was excellent. The wine was a wonderful addition to the dinner.
Desert - was a Coppa Alla Banana - with 2 Irish Coffeeās - So GOOD !
This relaxing dinner was a wonderful end to our 7 day stay in Chicago. ( No we werenāt prepared for the early snow storm, but still had a Blast)
