I only been there to eat once back in 2022 & it was delicious I went back today after it being closed for a while . I did a pick up order I ordered a jibarito & arroz con gandules I wish I can say something nice but the food smelled old the moment I opened the container it had had that weird old smell that makes you lose your appetite I tried a bite hoping I’d taste better than it smelled but it was so bad . The place needs to do better with food quality and freshness . Definitely not going back .

I ordered a steak Jibarito with arroz con gandules. It was really good and the service was excellent. I wish the plaintain was a bit more crispier but it was good nonetheless!!

As a first time entrance into this restaurant from my island where I am from. The food, such as the arroz con gandules no good it seems recooked, the carne frita didnt seem what it was for 1bd, empanadilla de pollo didnt have a good taste, and the alcapuria was a small little rectangle flat and pricey. This place is wayy too expensive and the food was not too great. Am sorry but the experience was not what I expected.

I bought pinchos de pollo and I think that's the only part that was good..I bought 2 plates ofLechón which was dry with no flavor, tasted like it was sitting for a while, the arroz con gandules didn't taste like it was arroz con gandules, it tasted very bad, the alcapuria was a tiny box shaped greasy thing, service was nice but very pricey... never again, first and last time for me and my family

I visited u order beans, white rice, n beef & onions. Beans were hard, not open was the whole grain. The cook put olive, never than ever, I have seen this in a beans. What country do that, but not in Cuba, Puerto Rico, it's crazy.
Give bad flavor. No onions, a lot red pepper. The beef was to dry, supposed to be in oil or some sauce on top. The coffee was ok. (5%)
I order green plantains, too ugly. Too hard too small. Terrible. The waiter forgot to bring a knife, I asked for it. Took 20 minutes in bring it to the table.

It Took Me Sometime To Get Back On Facebook. Amazing Puerto Rican Food. Everyone Was Very Polite. Really Clean InSide. Love This Place.
This place is closed
It seems good to me that they have closed it, karma. The owner is an employer who keeps the salary for my part. I worked for like a year with two days and he didn't want to pay me.
City of Chicago has shut this Location down. Failed building inspection.

The rice & empanda were really good. The steak Jibarito could have been season and a little bit more tender it was kinda tough, but overall, I was satisfied I would return
