Quesadilla La Reina del Sur

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had. Everything seemed like it was made from scratch, even the vegan cheeses,
and the flavors were perfectly developed. I loved the music they had playing, the plants hanging from the ceiling, and the friendly service. The only thing I’d change was for the salsa that comes with the free chips to be a little less spicy or have two, one that’s more mild. I wish I lived in Chicago because this would be my favorite spot.

Really tasty and affordable food. Cocktail menu is robust. Staff is always great.

The place would look even better if the lights matched color and were dimmed. A happy hour would also be awesome.

Fabulous for a meat eater or vegan alike. Chorizo, barbacoa, mole. You're in good hands!

Guy wit glasses working at the bar/cashier gave a horrible attitude and also horrible look that the restaurant was closing at 9.I really love this place and really love the food but this guy ruined my experience to come back ever again.

Tasty food and textures, but the drinks and chips were terrible. Also, the footlong quesadillas wasn’t a foot long—but it was delicious.

Mole is my favorite dish ever. My mom used to make it from scratch. It's not easy to make from scratch. Now that I'm a vegetarian, I was so happy to see a vegan option, and I must say it was delicious! I can't wait to try the other dishes they offer. The Tamarindo water tasted very fresh. Not too sweet.
Easy street parking on a Sunday morning was a plus. If you love real mexican food, try this spot out. You won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite places. I’ve been coming here for about 8-9 years. The food has been consistently great throughout that time. The staff is always nice and they really care about what they’re serving. The menu items are delicious and taste authentic. The salsas are bomb. The horchata can be a little hit or miss. Other than that, I really have no complaints. The new location has a nice mural and a bar. The ambiance is cozy and like I said, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The tacos de al pastor are delicious. The super burrito is probably my favorite thing to get, with either Xochimilco or Garibaldi filling + queso de papa + aguacate. Sheeeeeeesh fire. The quesadillas are big, and the flor de calabaza are my fave. The tamales are pretty damn good and a nice size. Do yourself a favor and come here. You won’t regret it. I bring loved ones here that aren’t vegan/vegetarian and they love it and they always want to come back.
