Chaddy Daddy is the BEST!!ps I want his t shirt Great vibe, great food and great staff! A welcome to the neighborhood. Rene and her staff have really created a cool little neighborhood hangout! The Patio is the bomb and dog friendly to boot! Try the Aunt Sandy’s Ice Tea, and the R Public Burger errr ma gawwwd!!

R Public House really came through with their Pancakes of the Week. They were big, fluffy, and honestly just so good. They came with strawberry coulis, a big scoop of ice cream, and fresh peaches on top — simple, but already fire.
Of course, I had to put a little razzle-dazzle on it. I added two layers of mixed berry jam with the strawberry coulis, then put apricot jam on the top layer. I made a warm homemade syrup with butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and regular syrup, and poured it right over the stack. Perfect.
The crazy part is I could’ve eaten the pancakes exactly as they came and still raved about them. If I had whipped cream, I probably would’ve ordered another one for later.
If you’re in Rogers Park, definitely try these pancakes. They’re worth it.

We ordered Thanksgiving Dinner from R Public House for the second year & let me tell you...it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked Turkey with both dark & white meat & a leg! Salad,soup, bread, cranberry, potatoes au gratin (which was delicious!) and a wonderful dessert. It's so nice to not have to cook & have minimal cleanup. Thanks, R Public House for a great dinner!

Neighbourhood restaurants in Chicago are often in awkward locations for any parking so beware. This location, however in a cute area is on a dead end and parking on the street is awful. Service is good, but ask for stronger coffee. Reasonable pricing

Fantastic food, nice Rogers Park hood space. Lousy service. Everyone agreed to the pretty bad attitude service. I won't even go into the bill presentation which at the end was embarrassing, uncomfortable and more memorable... Feeling like it's forced down your throat by your servers hand held visa machine. No statement unless you ask. Just pay it.

Jazmine was horrible. Never checked in with us. Never smiled once. At least act like you want to get a tip. Charged for blue cheese dressing when we ordered a side salad. Charged extra for mayo for burgers. Food is really good though.

I ate an early lunch, so it was really quiet.The food was fantastic. Bacon Wrapped dates are tasty and had a sauce that really complemented the dish. The Chicken Lady Pizza was excellent. Caramelized onions definitely gave the flavor a pop. It was too early for me to drink, but I was impressed by their bar selection (especially Irish whiskey).
