We enjoyed everything we ate, including two "special" sashimi offerings, and two signature rolls. There was plenty on the menu to distinguish Raisu from most storefront sushi restaurants, and to bring it to a level above them, but still much more affordable than newer premium Omakase degustations in the city. I will definitely return!
Absolutely 100% amazing. Finally a place with delicious food and reasonable prices. A place you can go in the city, order everything your heart desires and not break the bank! We will start bringing more people here!!

Great food and the service was excellent. Really friendly staff and really interesting and unique flavors.
We have eaten here several times before and it is always a top quality dining experience. Quietly, this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the city.
After a lot of research we chose Raisu, and glad we did. It was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We order a bit of everything and all but one dish was loved by everyone. Standouts were the Omega roll, tornado roll, and crispy rice roll. Drinks we good but not strong. Location is easy access to 90/94.
Super delicious and a great atmosphere to snarf down some tasty sushi.

I love this place and I've been coming here for years. The fish taste so good and the prices are so affordable. Ordered Nigiri chef special, lobster soup(amazing), chicken karaage, and udon. Everything was fantastic. Service was great as well. Never could finish my water because it kept getting refilled.

I thought the sushi was pretty good. The presentation was great, but the making and uramaki rolls didn’t impress me. The nigiri was fantastic though and they have rotating specials. I would go back but only for the nigiri

one of the best sushi chefs in the city. Everything was excellent quality and beautifully presented.
We wanted an amazing sushi experience and got it! Amazing food - every dish we had just kept getting better and better - and super attentive service! Would go back again in a heartbeat the next time we're in Chicago.

Don't get the crunchy tuna roll- it tasted like an overly salty tuna salad. Otherwise, most of the food was pricey but good.
We go here for special occasions because the fish quality is superb. The chef was able to work with dietary restrictions and the ambience was everything we expected for a quiet intimate dinner. It was been over a year since we last returned and the menu has been updated. Will continue to go here for special occasion dinners.
It was our first time going to Raisu and Paige was exceptional in giving us plenty of recommendations and bringing our food out in a timely manner. The food and drinks were delicious, specifically the lychee martinis and the lobster rolls are a must try! Definitely worth checking out for a unique dinner experience!
Hey there, fellow foodies! Are you on the hunt for sushi that will absolutely blow your mind? Look no further, because Raisu is where it's AT! Seriously, this isn't just good sushi; it's the best sushi in town, hands down.
Every single bite bursts with unbelievably fresh flavor – you can tell Chef Simon puts his heart and soul into every creation. And the vibe? Totally on point! It's the perfect spot to chill with friends or enjoy a fantastic meal. Trust me, you'll leave with a full belly and a happy wallet because the price point is just right. If you're anywhere near the north side, you absolutely HAVE to check out Raisu. It's not just a meal; it's an experience! You won't regret it!
