The best mulligatawny soup I’ve ever had! Raj Darbar is our go-to Indian restaurant in Chicago. They serve delicious dishes which use the highest quality ingredients, and their menu has something for everyone (whatever your spice tolerance may be!).
After forty years eating at Indian restaurants across the country, as well as visiting India, can say this is one of the better Indian restaurants in Chicago. Their mulligatawny soup is their best dish, should not be missed.
I ordered the chicken curry (comes with rice) and garlic naan for delivery and when I say it was the most tender chicken I’ve EVER had… the garlic naan was also delicious and portions were great. Will for sure order again!

I had stopped into the tobacco shop next door and the owner of this restaurant offered me a free meal that I devoured when I got home. The food is excellent, I will be back as a paying customer.

I ordered plain rice as indicated on the Grubhub menu but rice had cumin seeds in there. Not sure why the menu item isn’t the actual item they are sending out. They should rename the item to “Cumin Rice” . Not sure why cumin in rice is normal! FMLAlso, Tandoori chicken legs were very dry as if they were microwaved and sent out.The lentils were good though. I cooked my own basmati rice and enjoyed them.

I order take out all the time from here. Raj Dabar is by far the best restaurant for authentic and delicious Indian food. Food is amazing and delivery is fast and efficient.

I picked up my order on Uber eats and everything in that regard went perfect. The items were packaged well and everything was warm and made on time. When I went inside, the place itself was empty but the person who handed me my food was kind. In terms of the food, I was pretty disappointed. I got naan and the chicken tikka masala. I wish there was more spice and flavor to the masala and it tasted more tomato-y. The naan also was very chewy and didn't taste very fresh.

STAPLER PIN IN FOOD - I ordered onion bajiya from Raj Darbaar through uber eats. The onion bajiya had a stapler pin inside which I almost swallowed but managed to take out in time. There are definitely cuts inside my throat and mouth.

This is a fabulous place. We usually order for delivery and they are always timely and correct. Not a bad dish on the menu and they include plenty of rice.
