Randolph Tavern is excellent! The food is good and the drinks are great. It is a HUGE bar for the Loop. I went there on a random Tuesday after work. There were people there but it wasn't packed. My friends and I could have a conversation without struggling to hear each other. Highly recommend for an after work hangout!
I was a bit apprehensive because of the recent poor reviews.
I had the panini and fries. My companion had a wrap and fries and ice tea. Service was quick and attentive. Food was tasty and hot. Bar food. Very good but not awe inspiring.

I ended up at Randolph Tavern on a weekend evening and it had that classic Chicago sports bar vibe, but with a slightly more polished feel. The rooftop is definitely the highlight, especially when the weather’s good—it’s lively without feeling chaotic, and you can actually enjoy your drink without shouting.
