I went in this weekend 10/9/25 unfortunately, there was a cockroach egg in between the plates when they brought them out before they were going to serve us our food i left no thank you. . The worker then came and grab the Cockroach egg with a napkin they looked very embarrassed. I did not dine in .

Visited Rangoli Indian Cuisine at their North Avenue location for dinner. The staff was very friendly and made the whole experience feel welcoming.

We ordered a variety of dishes, and a few things really stood out especially the Gobi Manchurian, tadka daal, and the desserts. The gulab jamun and mango kulfi were both a great way to end the meal.

They offer a nice range of vegetarian options, and with two locations in Chicago, it’s a convenient spot to check out if you’re into Indian cuisine.

Bhaji was burnt, onions weren’t fresh, raita too sour. Only naan was good.

Got takeout dal and okra, was looking forward to it but the food was so salty! The food was almost inedible and didn't enjoy the experience whatsoever.

Keema Samosa was dry and lacked flavor. Butter chicken was white meat and they ignored my request for dark meat. Garlic naan is tasty but small compared to what you can get elsewhere.

They served white rice with chicken in the middle, calling it biryani, and the butter chicken lacked flavor. Overall, it was not a great experience.

I ordered Rangoli for delivery. I am from a city with a lot of incredible Indian food. I was apprehensive about ordering because the Indian food in Chicago is some of the worst food I've ever had across the board. I am compelled to review because this is the best Indian food I've had in Chicago by a significant margin and I think a lot of previous reviews are unfair.

First, I would like to acknowledge that a lot of Indian curry is traditionally oil/ghee based. The spices are fried in oil before all of the components to make the gravy are added. A lot of recipes even instruct to cook the curry until the oil separates. This curry wasn't even especially oily compared to others I've had. Something to consider.

I ordered some basics-- butter chicken, keema samosa and onion kulcha. The price for all of it was a little steep, but not totally unreasonable. The portions were adequate. I will easily get three meals out of it. The samosas were incredibly dry, but the flavor is definitely there-- pleasantly spicy and really tasty when dipped in chutney. The butter chicken was an ideal consistency, very rich with a generous amount protein. It wasn't as spicy as I like, but that wasn't anything a little cayenne couldn't fix. The onion kulcha was delicious. The spicy mint chutney is excellent. If you know decent Indian food and have that craving, this place will absolutely scratch that itch.
