Ravinia Brewing Company

Very slow service which I do not blame our server for at all. Unfortunately it was just one person to service the entire bar while she was obviously new. Way too much for just about anyone and she definitely did the best she could. The food was good, but the bar was out of about half their listed beers which is extremely odd for the time we were there. I would understand at a high volume time or very late in the night running out but not on a random afternoon before even a dinner rush. I didnt mind the choice in music, but when it is so loud you have to shout to be heard to your server and even then barely be heard, it is simply too loud. The food items themselves were shockingly good though the burgers were small. This was somewhat offset by the fries.

All in all not a great experience and I will not be going back. Disappointing

Poorly run. Our server was extremely attentive at first and then suddenly decided to completely ignore us. Beer was fine at best. Won't be back.

Alright ima start this off by saying that every staff member we encountered was very polite but seemingly a little lost when it came to providing decent service. The food was definitely solid and the beer was pretty good, however, multiple items were completely messed up at our table. We were a larger party but not crazy big, so mistakes happen, however a chicken sandwich we ordered was forgotten, then last minute made and stayed on the bill. A beet salad with salmon was mistakenly made as a salmon entree, then brought back as a beet salad, but without salmon. This is all after around an hour and a half of waiting for extremely slow service. I also had to teach our server how to use the toast tab apple pay mechanic. Like I said everyone was nice, but every-time I come here (so 2 times I guess) I have been met with a staff that seemed like they all just started working here that day. I truly hate writing this but I was actually like flabbergasted at how bad our service was. And after multiple mistakes, and a 20 minute wait on a box to wrap my food up to top it all off, they did nothing to try and rectify the situation. Nice staff, just maybe need a more structured system when it comes to everything that has to do with service.

I saw this pop on NBC5 Today and was drawn into all the flavors and just had to get in here. I'm so glad we did. We live in the neighborhood and frequented this spit when it was Ravinia Brewing. The food and staff were amazing. We were sad when it shut down for a while. We returned to try it out this weekend, and we're so impressed. The food was so good. I had the chicken sandwich and will honestly NEVER get a chicken sandwich anywhere else. The watermelon slice was a total gamechanger, imo. The Brussel Sprouts were airy and light, just the right amount of bite, and the chicken wings are FIRE!!! We will definitely be returning! Oh yea, I almost forgot... the service was outstanding, and they kept the old staff, which really made us feel right at home. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I was visiting Chicago for a few days and I discovered this place that I found very original. The food was delicious, the Barbacoa tacos and the red sauce were the best. I want to mention that I tried the tres leches cake and wooo!! the best I have eaten in the United States I recommend Ravinia as a very especial place.

Went to Ravinia Brewing Company on Saturday and was very pleased with the staff and management. We visited the Brewery/restaurant because of Open House Chicago. What an interesting space and I loved the John Dillinger bullet hole at the bar. Don't know if that is actually true, but a great story and reason to stop by. It was one of our favorite stops on our Open House places to see. Your staff are all wonderful and really seem to love their jobs.
The waiter was a polite gentleman who made a great suggestion about the bowls. My wife had a beef bowl, and I had a pork bowl. Your beer was outstanding.

We will definitely be back for another visit; I love the atmosphere.
We received an individual tour that was given by the manager. I wish I knew her name.

Great beers with a huge shaded beer garden in the back. Their fish tacos were really good, especially for the price.

Fun spot with a nice hidden back garden area. We didn’t have food, but their menu options look great. I was bummed the beers are served in plastic cups, but it was still a fun stop along the brewery stops for us.

I guess this is now the brewery formerly known as Ravinia. In any event the beer is excellent and their taproom right along the metra tracks in an old train station is very cool

Went here last weekend. The food runner spilled my meal all over me and stained my clothes. He clearly didn’t tell the server or management. No one apologized or offered me anything to make up for it.

Love this place... very casual... the cutest tables with swinging seats are the best.... great beers across the board... everything on the menu is delicious and filling... can't go wrong here, a great Saturday afternoon hang

We're glad we finally had an opportunity to go to there. I feel like I'd like to give it another try when the patio was open; it turned out it was rainy the day we were there. The beer selection wasn't that extensive and my food was only ok, but my wife loved what she had, although we liked the vibe. We'll give it another try someday and report back.
