Great food at reasonable prices in a comfortable spot. How have I just discovered this? I fly through Midway a lot and this is my new go-to for dinner!

Not crowded, but the after church crowd is here in the dining room along with the Bears fans watching at the bar. Bathrooms needed attention (out of soap) barely an hour after opening this morning. Music was kind of loud and did not seem to match the vibe of this place. Still, plenty of families enjoying their lunch and great service. Food was good and prices were fair.

We had a wedding at Red Barrel October 24, 2025 and we have to come here and give them 5 stars for everything. Everything was truly amazing, from food to the friendly staff. Thank you so much! We will definitely plan another event here.

Just rented the hall for an even food and service was 10/10 .
Just hit up Red Barrel for a late afternoon lunch—grabbed their buffalo chicken flatbread and a Caesar salad, plus a couple beers, ran me around $28. Cozy as heck inside, kinda South Side chill vibe with that exposed brick. Server Alexis was friendly and kept the chips and salsa comin’. Food was legit comforting fusion—Italian‑Mexican twist worked perfect. Definitely comin’ back!

Last week went with a friend. We both ordered the porterhouse pork chop. It was AMAZING! Hands down the BEST pork chop I've ever had. Served with roasted poratoes and brussel sprouts with a sauce, absolute delicious! The staff was wonderful as well. Go check this place out, you won't be disappointed!!!
Hands down, the worst food I've had in a long time. The chicken parm was strangely bitter and the sauce was so-so at best. My friend got a chicken caprese salad which consisted of a sliced tomato on one plate and chicken breast on another. Fries tasted bitter like the chicken. The kids pizza came out of a box. The kid liked it, but it was similar to everything else.
What a disappointment. I wanted to like it because of the cool atmosphere but now I would encourage you to heed my warning: avoid this place.
Edit: the kid said his pizza was horrible and I shouldn't have said he liked it. I don't know how you mess up frozen pizza!
