I’m sorry but this place is not it. They don’t display their prices which is not cool. Sandwiches were so bland, lacked flavor and made with low quality ingredients. I got the California dreaming and was infuriated at the avocado smash they used. Packaged avocado and flavorless. Bare minimum is to use fresh avocado. This is unacceptable. Croissant was dry, chicken salad had little mayo and we didn’t taste the pineapple. Sandwiches were saved by the hot sauce.

Terrible service and seems like the guy there is a problem constantly. Don't want that in the community!
Had to repeat myself 3 times to order a green smoothie because the person taking my order kept getting distracted, then they forgot to make the smoothie twice more. The coffee tasted burnt. The chicken salad sandwich wasn't much to write home about and neither was the veggie burrito. Overpriced for mid food and poor service.

We stumbled upon this café while visiting Chicago, and it turned out to be such a lovely surprise. The café is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind — when they found out we had just gotten married, they surprised us with two complimentary donuts. A small gesture that made our day extra special. Highly recommend stopping by!

First Sip blends clean design with cozy touches, creating a space that feels both modern and welcoming. The light wood counter, potted plants, and gentle background music bring a sense of ease that invites soft conversations or quiet solo moments.
I opted for their pour-over of the day. It was crisp and nuanced, with subtle notes of citrus and honey that lingered pleasantly. Paired with a delicate almond pastry, each bite and sip felt quietly luxurious. The barista moved with purpose and care serving each order with calm sincerity. First Sip feels like a small pause well worth lingering for.

God, Red June left a place in my heart. I've never felt so satisfied by the services provided at an establishment. Alec Martinoli filled all my needs as a server when I visited Red June. If anyone wants an experience to remember, they should go to Red June.

I was at Red June the other day and I had the most amazing experience. My server named Alec was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my whole life! I ordered countless things, donuts and coffee’s galore! Alec was kind enough to offer extra creamer in my drinks, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I would recommend this small local cafe to anyone!

Cute spot with good coffee! I recommend the iced pistachio latte but they have a decent menu with plenty of options even for non coffee drinkers. The apple and Gouda croissant sandwich was bland, the Gouda was not fully melted and everything felt dry. I would try this spot again though so hopefully this was just an off day!

My girlfriend and I just moved to Bucktown, and the first thing we decided to do was find a new coffee spot. Boy, are we lucky to have Red June!! Quickly it became our favorite cafe spot in the CITY!
The coffee is delicious as they use Julius Meinl coffee beans. The regular cold brew and nitro cold brew are perfect to sip on. When you decide to get a more specialized drink, you can always taste the coffee, and it is never too sugary, which we love!
Plus, they also serve simple cafe foods that are made fresh and served right to you (breakfast and lunch options).
Give this spot a try!!

Wonderful service from our barista Osama. We had Lox Sandwhich and it was incredible. 10/10 recommend. It does get busy so just keep that in mind when going!

Love this place! I live right by and it is the perfect neighborhood coffee shop! The owners are super friendly and clearly try and make an effort to get to know the community!
They also do not skimp on the croissant breakfast sandwich! Big fan!
