Drove 2 hours through lake effect snow and single digit temperatures to be blessed by the best chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten in my 42 years of existence. I cried tears of happiness with every bite. Sad that I live 2 hours away, but happy that I don’t have to book a flight to get to it. This chicken is life changing. Must try

There is a weird vinegar taste in some bites- trying to figure out if that’s the sauce or they squirt vinegar on it. I could do without that particular taste.

The hot & honey sandwich is to die for! The pickles are also so delicious. The service is always quick and very friendly staff. Red Light has quickly become a favorite in the neighborhood for our family!

Patrick (the owner), is an absolutely fantastic human being! I’ve chatted with him several times in person, his food is just as awesome as he is. This is my favorite chicken spot in all of Chicago. Reminds me of my go-to spot in San Diego. You can’t ever go wrong with honey and extra pickles on these sandwiches! Can’t wait for my next sandwich here, I always look forward to grabbing a bite to eat here. I normally take my food to-go; I enjoy eating at the park and even at home 😄

Fantastic chicken. Definitely go out of your way to stop here and give them a try. No seating but there’s some outdoor standing room if you’re into that. Otherwise, just order and go.
Delicious chicken sandwiches with fast, thoughtful service! Probably top in the city. I got the hot and honey with some regular fries and I highly recommend. Note that the ‘hot’ is some sort of tabasco style heat. My usual will probably become just the honey, as I’m not usually drawn to spicy food anyway.
The service is super fast, kind, and thoughtful. When I wanted some water the server (possibly owner?) just gave me some bottled water which was appreciated (I rarely see this but strongly believe water should always be free). When throwing trash out they proactively asked if we wanted some wet wipes. Just really thoughtful and straightforward service that seems to take pride in what they do and care about their customers.
I asked the worker who said the chicken there is halal.
