Great service and gift items, upto date on the Fall flovors and drinks . Note, a lot of the local cofeee shops do not carry the sesonal flavors, at one they said they do not offer them and said if you want that , you need to go to a Starbucks . which we did .
The view of Chicago was beautiful. The service was great. However, we weren't impressed by the food. My lobster bisque was lukewarm & our daughter's ravioli was dry & didn't taste good. We had high hopes with our dessert, but it wasn't good either. The chocolate peanut butter torte was a ridiculously tiny slice & didn't taste fresh at all. We didn't complain because we weren't looking for a free meal. We knew the cost & chose to eat dinner there. Just disappointed with the food, especially because it was my family's first trip to Chicago.
My friend and I came for the 2022 restaurant week dinner. The lobster bisque had no lobster in it, the prime certified angus flat iron was bland (came pre sliced drenched in sauce) , and the dessert was a joke. The “Birthday cake ice cream sandwich” was described to have “confetti cookie crust, cake batter ice cream, warm vanilla fondant”. What I received was two overcooked funfetti cookies with vanilla bean ice cream stuffed between them. I was completely disappointed by this $60 meal. Then when we received the bill, there was an additional 20% service charge that was not mentioned on the restaurant week menu whatsoever. It was made clear by our server that that is not considered a tip. Overall the only positive thing about this place is the view.
The club was hosting bingo games in the dining area. The game lasted over half of my dining time, so loud that it is difficult to have a normal voices conversation. The food was very basic for the price charged. Meat tasted dry; seafood was not fresh; dessert was no different than cheap retail cookie/ice cream. The view was good. But windows are small and difficult to take pictures due to reflections.
I was surprised to see the added 'Service Charge' on the tab- I asked waiter if he added tip, and he said 'no, we always add that, tip is separate'. Why was I not informed of this charge when making reservation? We thought we would enjoy the views from a restaurant we wouldn't otherwise have access to - we were seated in a non-descript area off the bar and I just don't think a $200 tab for 2 people was worth it.
Service was great, but for the price and the environment, we were underwhelmed. Felt more like a wedding venue than fine dining.
Seared sea bass was so so. Flank steak was great. Bang bang shrimp was good service by Ramon was terrific.
The Club should make sure their online menu matches what the actual menu has on it. Not good to be surprised, especially at those prices.
It was a great experience eating on the 80th floor the hostess was great she made the whole experience worth while the food was great the cake was not but the whole thought behind it was heartwarming I would definitely be back

We went to Mid-America club for our anniversary. We are not members, but they open up the restaurant at night to non-member reservations. You do need to call the restaurant to make sure they have the names of each member of your party, since the Aon center security checks your ID before letting you on the elevator. The restaurant is located on the 80th floor and has sweeping views of the north shore, John Hancock tower and up lake shore drive. It was truly stunning view and wall to wall windows. The food was good and while it is expensive, it is a great choice for a special occasion! Our waiter was super nice and really went out of his way to make our meal delightful. For example, he was worried that my Bouillabaisse did not have enough shrimp and went back to get me another bowl (all without any word or complaint by me). Thank you for an enjoyable evening!
We dined at the club with other members and we all had a wonderful experience- each time we eat there the food taste and quality has gotten better than a few months back. Lisa, as always, was a terrific server who always makes us feel welcome & comfortable at the club- when we go there we feel like we're part of a family rather than just dining out.. we all like the new art work in The Standard- keep the renovating going!! Bravo!
Private club, beautiful views. All good..try the cannoli. Was not told we would be in the casual bar area.
Great views from our seated area. Food was perfect. Staff was on point with service, suggestions on wine, and short arrival time when as food was ready and cooked to perfection. Would go back. A word of caution... the valet is not affiliated with the restaurant so please tale any belongings of value with you. I had my iPad under papers in glove compartment hidden pretty well. When I picked up my car the iPad was missing. I was devastated, but your ticket says that the valet is not responsible for missing valuables. Please be aware. Lesson learned
Salad tasted so bad and strange. There was something wrong with it that nobody could put their finger on. Everyone's food apart from mine sucked. Mine was OK. Views were great though. Go somewhere else.
