The staff were super friendly and helpful when looking at so many wonderful dinner options. The chef greeted me and was very friendly. The food was excellent. We chose a risotto with truffles appetizer as well as Arancini both were excellent. The veal chop was cooked perfectly and our dessert was equally tasty. I will go back this week before heading home. Wishing this Osteria was located near my home.

Our party of 7 had a wonderful dinner at Riccardo Osteria before heading to a Blackhawks game. My wife's Branzino was one of best she has had. Grillata Mista featured a wonderful mix of grilled seafood and a perfect salad. Love the great service and attention by all the staff!

Service was good after a rough start, management was clearly trying to squeeze as many patrons into the joint as possible. I would suggest they consider the comfort of all of their guests before trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole. Waitress was very cool and efficient, valet was efficient as well but at $75/head without alcohol, I expect fireworks and this was a meal I could get in any suburb.

Such a pleasant surprise! I knew nothing about this restaurant when I booked it. Close to the United Center so convenient for concerts! The whole Branzino was amazing. The service and ambience were really great. I will definitely recommend especially for those looking for a stop before a game or show at the United Center.

Food was good, server very attentive,we were seated near the door, so was a hit chilly anytime someone opened the door. Heirloom tomato salad had Simone cherry tomatoes and more cucumbers than tomatoes. The pizza crust was slightly undercooked. My mushroom truffle risotto was very good, although could not taste the truffles. Food is solid, not amazing.

We dined in to celebrate our sister's birthday. We got 4 appetizers: vitello tonnato, arancini bolognese, frittura di mare, and an entree as an app which was scoppiata di cozze. Vitello tonnato is one of my sister's favorite and she loved the one at this restaurant. The arancini was different to any I have ever had before and it was good. The frittura di mare was good, we didn't live the shrimp but that was just our personal tastes. The scoppiata di cozze was very good, very different to any other mussels I have tried. We had 3 entrees: one special which was the short rib with risotto, zafferano alla milanese, and veal piccata al limone. All of the entrees were good!! I think the best entrees were the zafferano alla milanese and the veal. My sister had a free tiramisu for dessert. I normally am not a fan of tiramisu but this was amazing!! Our server also gave us free lemon cello shots which was so nice!! We also had 5 different cocktails, 2 special ones and 3 regular, the best out of the bunch was the mango martini by far, definitely try that when you go.

My first experience here was during Restaurant Week January 2024. The experience was so positive I had to come back. The food is great and reasonably priced for the area. The service and atmosphere are accommodating and charming.

Really, really good Italian food. I've never been disappointed and I'm happy to say neither have any of my guests. The service is friendly, courteous and welcoming. I highly recommend Riccardo Osteria.

To say I am disappointed is quite the understatement. Came here on Valentine's Day to find out of a surprise tasting menu with limited options for each course. No mention of it on the website when looking at the menu ahead of going. My girlfriend ordered a scallop risotto thinking it would be sufficient enough to feed her. We were extremely disappointed and upset when it came to the table with ONE scallop (keep in mind it was $38.00) The risotto tasted like broccoli and cheese rice mix you buy from the grocery store. I ordered the pappardelle looking forward to the meat that came with it. It arrived at the table with no more than 3 tiny pieces of meat. In addition a single can of pop (Diet Coke) cost 5.00. Extremely extremely overpriced for a below standard pasta. Better options in the west loop without a doubt. I wanted to like this place but seeing how expensive it is I will not be back.

The food was very good and the service was great....until we were effectively kicked out of our table because there was a big party waiting on our table. We spent $400 for a party of 4 and were asked to move to the bar within an hour and a half while we were finishing our wine. They didn't even offer us dessert because they were too busy moving to the next table

Came for restaurant week with some friends. The place was packed! We had to wait about 15 minutes for our table (we did have a reservation) which was a bit frustrating, but once we were sat, the service was fast. The food was solid, not incredible but certainly not bad. Some notable dishes were the tuna tartare, arancini and seafood platter. I had the ribeye steak which was somewhat underwhelming and only came with two fries. The salads were very good. The desserts were also quite good. Overall, I would probably come back here. It's also a smaller restaurant with a homey italian feel which definitely makes a nice atmosphere to dine in.

Great food, and excellent service. The manager was very attentive and visited each table several times, a sign of an establishment that cares. We'd never been to RIccardo, and found it because of a Restaurant Week deal, but we will certainly be back!
