I've always enjoyed it here. The food is good the beer is cheap and the staff is friendly

Not a beer drinker and that seems to be their only go to... was hard getting another cocktail

This place is such a gem! They completely renovated and transformed a dive bar into a classy tavern that scream roaring 20s with the marble walls and leather ceilings! The service and food are both amazing! The drink menu is fantastic! Great classic done right and newer creative creations. Great for date night or great for just dessert and drinks! :)

In our previous 3-4 visits, the service was average and the Mac n cheese/burgers were very good. A few days ago I ordered a fried chicken sandwich which ended up being the worst sandwich I've ever had. Wish I took a picture cause it was the saddest chicken sandwich I've ever seen. Rocking Horse refused a refund on something they should have never sent out in the first place, and I'm pretty sure I've been sick ever since I for some reason ate half of it. I will not be back considering I can find a fast food restaurant with a much better sandwich and customer service.

One of my favorite bars to chill at with friends. Staff is very nice and checks in with good timing. They've got TVs on by the bar, a patio in the back that's nice when it's warm out. The only thing I wish they had more of was plant based food options. But they do have tastey fries and a hummus dish if you need vegan options.

Low key, great burgers, awesome tots, good beer selection

The service was good. Both the server and bartender were extremely pleasant. The food is fairly average. Nothing stands out as being particularly good. They have a decent selection of beers and a nice decor. Bottom line is this is a good place for a drink, but not to eat.

I always seem to get their cheeseburger and some loaded fries to share, and it's great. Good spot for hanging with friends as there are a few larger 6 person tables.

I walked into this restaurant yesterday to pick up an order and went straight to the left side of the bar by the kitchen area. I stood next to the computer. At the computer there was a sever entering an order, the bartender and another lady with green hair all standing there. No one greeted me or asked me anything. They all carried on as if I did not exist. The bartender looked at me a few times, but never addressed me. He instead walked to the middle of the bar, leaned down on the counter and started a conversation with the people at the bar. I stood their awkwardly for about 5 mins waiting for someone to greet me, a guy sitting at the bar looked backed at me and kind of laughed, I guess he noticed what was happening. The lady who was entering the order went to clean a table, came back to the screen and still nothing. I don’t want to make this a race issue because I’m Black, but I was completely ignored to the point I had to loudly ask if anyone was going to assist me. It really make me feel unwelcomed and very uncomfortable. This is not an experience I expected from a restaurant in the City of Chicago. Horrible customer service.
Garlic aioli that was just some generic mayo, cost extra, that no one ordered. Then they charge me 2.50 for club soda. "Spicy" burger that wasn't spicy at all, and a mediocre Morningstar veggie burger. Pass.

They have a great selection of beers, the food is very good quality and the fries/tots are amazing. I highly recommend this bar. Also I've heard from my vegetarian friends that they have the best veggie burger in town.
