I ordered a key lime pie and my family all rated it above the First Slice, which is where we have ordered pies in the past. We will continue to enjoy the delicious pies from Roeser's and the donuts are really awesome, and coffee cakes, very good, too.

Wow!!! I’ve seen this bakery on social media being praised and it deserves all the attention and good reviews!! So many tasty treats inside it made it hard to decide. They also had Bears cupcakes so you can celebrate and show your team pride on game day! You can even order a customized cake! It was hard to make a choice but in the end the mini apple turnover was AMAZING! They have a small parking lot next to the building too. Fantastic!

When I visited friends I always stop by because they have the best bakery ever an the atmosphere along with the staff is nice. Prices are a bit steep but worth it for sweet lovers...

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Roeser’s Bakery (3216 W North Ave) on Sunday, January 4th, 2026. I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday and provided a clear reference image. What I received looked nothing like what I asked for. It was sloppy, poorly executed, and honestly embarrassing to put out for a child’s birthday.
When I complained, they tried to “fix” it, but the so-called fix didn’t fix anything. The cake was still wrong. At that point, it was obvious they either didn’t care or didn’t know how to do the design in the first place.
What really pushed this over the edge was the complete lack of customer service. No real apology, no accommodation, and not even a partial discount for THEIR mistake. For a business that claims to specialize in cakes, this level of quality and attitude is ridiculous.
Ruined what was supposed to be a special day and showed zero accountability. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you need a custom cake — especially for an important event.
The photo on the right is what I gave them to copy and they gave me the cake like the photo on the left.
I believe they are racist towards Blacks and it's starting to show.

I have loved coming here for the last 5 years that I’ve lived in Humboldt Park. I always receive exemplary service, however, today, Liz was amazingly sweet, and I just had to share. Thank you for all that you do. Your cake donuts are the best in the city.
The food and the staff will make you forget that all other bakeries exist!!! The ladies who work here are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to make sure all customers are treated with respect and kindness!!! Oh, and if cake is your thing, DEFINITELY go here!!! Cakes are absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
