I have been coming to this Bakery as long as they have been open, every year I get myself a birthday cake yesterday I picked up a personal birthday cake, I was shocked there was maybe an inch of cake the rest was icing and the strawberries were sour in all the years of coming to this Bakery, im just hurt
I'm a huge fan of old school bakeries and there are not too many left. So when I do encounter one, I judge it by it's cookies and brownies 😁 Although I didn't get a brownie ( this time!) , I *did* get a variety of cookies. And Roeser's is beyond superior. The chocolate chip cookies have the perfect consistency and crunch ( I'm not a "soft baked" fan) and the butter cookies just melt in your mouth. The perfect taste and quality of the old school...
I am visiting my son and am exploring the various neighborhoods. Found Roesers via a Google search of Bakeries Near Me. It's on an underwhelming street but with plenty of parking on street (I walked). I was awed at the selection and reasonable prices (I'm from CA). I got a pecan caramel bar and a Napoleon. I'm savoring them, a bite at a time. So very delicious. I'm in town for a couple weeks so I'll be back!
