I have been going to Rollapalooza with my family since 2015. Food is consistently excellent, whether eating there or at home. Very good diversity of specialty maki and a pretty broad menu overall. The service is always great, even when it's busier. Looking forward to my next visit.

Gigi is the absolute best. Customer service here is a 12/10 and the food matches. This is becoming one of my favorite restaurants in all of Chicago. Unexpected but honestly some of the best fish I've ever eaten. The value is definitely here in terms of quality and service.

Some of the great sushi in town! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is a amazing sushi restaurant.

This was such a surprise! New to sushi and had several great sushi places on Halsted and Broadway, but this has to be the best I’ve had so far. Nice atmosphere. Fast service. Out of this world sushi! Definitely going back again!

This is, by far, the most amazing sushi place my boyfriend and I have gone. Where to start? The staff knows us by name and are the sweetest, most attentive people. They even give us free miso soup or edamame if we wait for a to-go order, or as soon as we come in. The sushi is the freshest in Chicago, and there are always fun and interesting new rolls and flavors to try. No other sushi we have had in the city is a match for Rollapalooza- they are the best! Coupled with their amazing kindness and service, this is probably our favorite restaurant. Thank you, Rollapalooza!!

This is our go to sushi spot! Rolla has an amazing variety of rolls. The food is fresh and flavorful. The staff is the BEST, so friendly and welcoming! BYOB is an extra bonus! If you're craving sushi, you MUST check out Rollapalooza!

Awesome modern sushi spot. Service was kind and attentive, and the sushi tasted fresh and flavorful with interesting twists. I recommend the tequila roll with seaweed wrapping, and the garlic salmon roll. Both gluten free.

I feel so lucky Rollapalooza is in my neighborhood! They have the kindest, most attentive staff, and the sushi is fresh and delicious. The salmon sashimi or nigiri always hits the spot, and my favorite roll is the Meguan, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

What an awesome neighborhood gem. Rollapalooza has an incredibly charming atmosphere, a family run vibe, and the food was delicious.

We ordered take out and everything was so good! They called us to ask if we wanted the Black Monster because the black rice was out and it would take a little to make, which was fine. They made the rice and gave us extra miso soup and edamame for the inconvenience, even though we didn’t mind! Very awesome and friendly staff. Will def get again!

Always the most amazing service and sushi!! Been here a million times and never had a bad experience. They have black rice available. The portions are generous and definitely the best sushi in Chicago.

I stopped by Rollapalooza a couple of nights ago with some of my coworkers. The place was packed, which is a good sign. Nothing is a bigger red flag than an empty business on a Friday night. One of my coworkers is not a fan of raw fish (yes, I see the irony), but our server was incredibly helpful. Ask for Nat when you visit! She was helpful, attentive, and she was a really welcome change in personality compared to everyone else in the restaurant. I do want people to focus and do their jobs well, but I kinda wish the other Rollapalooza employees were just a wee bit more upbeat. Everyone but Nat kinda looked like they were toiling away their remaining days in a Siberian Gulag or something, jeez. The food itself was great. Nat nailed it with her recommendations, and even my nitpicky coworker had a banger time. My guy loosened up his tie, leaned back like Fat Joe, and let loose some laughs (until his wife called and asked where he was lmao). Nat brought us miso soup, a couple of salads, and like five plates of rolls. One of them was literally on fire! And they were all "bussin'" as the kids say these days. We had mochi ice cream for dessert. All delicious. Delectable. Scrumptious. Perhaps even orgasmic.Cool vibes (loosen up, Rollapalooza employees). Cool food. Cool location (check out all the bars nearby). Some other things you should know:1. There is no dedicated parking for Rollapalooza customers. Par for the course in Chicago, but now you know for sure.2. Rollapalooza DOES NOT serve alcohol, but they are BYOB. There's a 7-11 that's close enough for Uncle Rico to throw a football to, so you can adjust accordingly.

The quality of the fish is poor at best. Same for the rice, poor. The size of each nigiri was very small. We spent $200 for 3 people just for the sushi. Service was ok until we were told to leave after being there for 1 1/2 hours! I would never return to this place as there are several much better sushi restaurants nearby.

Haha No

Great meal as always. This is our go to neighborhood sushi spot. The sushi is fresh, the service friendly, and we are big fans of BYOB. I'm afraid to give it a good review because I worry others are going to catch on and make it difficult to get a table in this small place in a crowded neighborhood.
