ROOP Chicago Innovative Indian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar offers an excellent culinary experience with innovative flavor combinations that are a highlight. Dishes like butter chicken, paneer pasanda, jackfruit cutlet, and chili cheese kulcha impress guests, while the sauces set this place apart. The restaurant features a cozy atmosphere with an aesthetic decor that enhances the dining experience. The service is friendly and attentive, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable time. Guests have praised the superb service, with staff treating them like royalty and even waiting outside with them when their cab was delayed. The cocktails are highly creative and delicious, and the texture of the kulcha is notably pillowy. The restaurant offers great value during happy hour, with drink and snack specials from 3 to 5 pm. Although some items, such as the chaat, may not meet all expectations, the overall quality of the food is fantastic. The timing of the dishes is well managed, especially during slower hours, making for a smooth dining experience. While some guests feel portion sizes could be larger for the price, the restaurant provides plenty of courses for what is offered. With amazing vegetarian options and a cozy ambiance, ROOP is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food and excellent service. The staff's kindness and the creative cocktails make it a memorable spot for Indian cuisine in Chicago.
