My husband bought a few dozen last week. Not good at all. Small, dry and lacked flavor. Even the meat filled ones were dry. I do not recommend this place for tamales. Only thing that was good was the champurrado.
Love the banana leaf tamales here. Delicious!!!

Horrifying Experience at Rosa's Tamales #4
I wish I could give Rosa's Tamales #4 zero stars. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We ordered four dozen tamales for a birthday celebration at an elementary school, hoping to enjoy a lovely meal. Instead, we were greeted with revolting food sanitation and appalling customer service.
To our horror, a teacher found a roach in her tamale, which made her sick. This was not only disgusting but also incredibly embarrassing, as it ruined the entire event. Given the circumstances, we expected the restaurant to take responsibility and offer a full refund or a satisfactory solution. Instead, they refused to acknowledge the severity of the issue and only offered a refund for one tamale, despite our spending $75 on the entire order.
Their lack of accountability and concern for their customers' well-being is shocking. I strongly urge everyone to avoid Rosa's Tamales #4 at 4619 S. Kedzie. Save yourself the trouble, and find a place that values cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

The tamales are delicious, the atoles too sweet, good service from the workers. The atmosphere is gloomy and with little light. THE TAMALES ARE TASTY BUT VERY SMALL AND EXPENSIVE.

They raised the prices for tamales but made them a lot smaller. Soon they’ll just sell us the leaf. This is a joke theyre just as big as my finger
Overall is not a good service, the lady attending is always rushing you to take your order, even if there are no more clients, also she has a high volume of music. The tamal “Verde con pollo” was very poor and unflavored, the atole is good.

I went today, 12/23 around 1pm. The lady serving tamales, was RUDE. She was helping an elderly couple & kept asking her what tamales she had. & raised her voice at her. Another person asked her and raised her voice again. I get it, maybe she was trying to hurry up the line. But no need to be rude, it’s the holidays she could be nicer. I left instead because I was not going to deal with her attitude.
The customer service at this establishment appears to be inconsistent. On some days, there is a friendly and helpful staff member, while on other days, there is a rude and dismissive individual. I understand that the single staff member may become overwhelmed when attending to multiple customers, but it would be beneficial to have at least two people working at the front to ensure a more positive and efficient customer experience. Tamales are good .

VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!😡 I placed an order 1 day before and they took the order on my cell phone and I paid. The next day I went to pick up my order of tamales. And it was not complete. They don't return the money either.

This is one of the worst place to go. The tamales are extremely dry and nasty. Do not buy it from here. The leftovers they tried to sell them the next day. They’re extremely dry no good.
The hours are wrong. It’s happened twice where I come at 4pm to get tamales and it is closed. Their hours say they’re supposed to be open until 6pm but it’s always closed by 4pm when I try to come.
