Tamales are ok. Service lower than average. Prices reasonable, but they charge a fee if paid with a credit card without any warning!

Unfortunately i think they changed ownership or management or something. Tamales aren't the same, they don't have Oaxaqueños anymore, they only sell like 4 kinds of tamales now. Just not the same unfortunately.
We usually get our tamales here because the masa is pretty flavorful for all its tamales. However I'm pretty disappointed with the red pork tamales. Although the masa is good, it's pork filling is terrible. They don't shred the meat, they just throw in big chunks of it in the sauce and that really makes for a very mediocre tamale. To me it's like not really caring enough to take the time for a very decent tamale. The rajas tamales are very good. I really wish that they would improve on the cooking method for those red pepper pork tamales. It would surely make them better. And they could make them more spicy, after all that's what we're known for.

First time trying Rosa’s Tamales #2 and they were pretty good! The masa has great flavor. The tamales are a bit on the smaller side, but understandable since they make large batches. I ordered a dozen and a half. Half green chicken, half red pork, and half cheese with jalapeño. The green chicken was my favorite, but all had good flavor. Perfect para quitar el antojo de tamales! También price seems great, not expensive.

This is one of the best if not thee best places to get authentic banana leaf wrapped tamales in the city of Chicago. Nothing fancy just big pots of delicious tamales. The cheese and jalapeño are my favorite!
