We had a small reunion dinner, and it was lovely. The food was outstanding, though the portions were so large that everyone had take home bags. Server was extremely attentive.
We arrived at our reserved time of 8:30 PM, not realizing that they closed at 9PM. I was a little upset they were out of bread which I had read so many reviews on but we ended up ordering ribbons bolognese and the special NY strip steak and peppers along with Carmines Garlic Knots and all was outstanding. It was my birthday and the waiter made me feel extra special, even bringing us out two mini cannolis with a candle. It was a perfect evening. Can't wait to go back.
the bruscetta with shrimp appetizer was amazing the restaurant was not busy and the service was great
Elegant and friendly in every way. Delicious dinner choices. Pricey but quality of the dishes and the overall experience suggests pricing is appropriate. We will return.
We ordered a side pasta with marinara for 1 child for $9. The other child ordered butter noddles and they charged us $23 for a bowl 1/2 the size. They said because we didn't say ‘side' we got the adult butter noodles. That is crazy.
Great service as always! The patio seating was great and the happy hour menu is quite generous - will be back!
Rosebud got so expensive and it's almost not worth it any longer. Service was excellent, the server and host were a delight and the food was as well, but their special meatball app was 32.00!! more than my entree. That's embarrassing and i question who is pulling the menu together. Stupid me I should have asked the price but why would an app ever be more than an entree. I would rather go to a steak house if dinner is going to be 100.00 pp not an Italian joint. I also don't get the up charge % in efforts “to keep our prices lower”. What a crock of BS. Sorry team. Rather go to Maggianos where they will do 1/2 orders of pastas and salads so you are not inundated with heavy food.
Our meal was over the top delicious and our service from our server Jay was professional and perfect. Mauro the manager who knows us took exceptional care of us and we look forward to returning soon!
Really enjoyed our business dinner at Rosebud Rosetta Italian. They accommodated several changes in our party as we started with 8 and ended up with 16. The portions were generous with a wide selection on the menu. Our clients complimented us on the venue. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Rosebud Rosetta is an excellent dining experience. The food is great, and our waiter, Jay, always provides unparalleled service. This is our goto restaurant when we're near the theater district.

Great go to lunch spot. Great service and, excellent specials and the burger is very good.
Good food and service Nicely accommodating table for 5 Difficulty splitting bill at end of meal was disappointing.
Possibly my least favorite Italian meal in Chicago. The bruschetta were large, the bread was good, but the addition of black olives was not at all to my taste. The cheese was not flavorful. I ordered Ribbons Bolognese but was brought pasta a la vodka. The waitress kindly tried to tell me that was what I ordered but I've never ordered that dish in my life. I always order Bolognese. She did bring me the correct dish. The noodles were stuck in clumps and dry and white (undercooked) in the middle. Even the diet soda was bad, tasted soapy. I was the only person in the restaurant and yes it was early for dinner, but by the time I left only 2 other people came in to drink at the bar. Now I know why it was empty.
It as out anniversary, we had an amazing and special dinner. The food was outstanding. The service was impeccable. A definite A+ restaurant we will retun.
We've pretty much eaten at every Italian restaurant in River North and the Loop. For high quality traditional Italian, Rosebud is by far the best! In addition, the level of service is always top notch. This was our first time at this location, and it is now our favorite. It's smaller and quieter, and lovely. Thank you Rosebud for a wonderful dinner, we will be back!
