Cynthia is such a vibe!! This is definitely a fun place to come if you enjoy dive bars. Even the patrons are awesome! 10/10 reccommend!
Visiting for work a couple days and had some down time to kill. 1st day, met Frank.. super friendly and made me feel welcomed. Played darts with some people from Belgium. Touch tunes and drinks are priced right. Met Jeff and regular and Mark the 2nd day I came. Great dive bar!!
I was incredibly disrespected by the bartender. My husband took a beer from the cooler doors and listening to the signage posted on the cooler, we brought it up to the bar to purchase it. There were multiple signs stating not to open the beer and to bring it up to the bartender. I imagined this was due to people taking drinks without paying for them. Rossi's in Chicago's River North neighborhood is a favorite spot for many. The bartenders are fantastic, with Frank behind the bar making sure all drinking needs are met. The atmosphere is welcoming, creating a great vibe typical of a local dive bar. With a great beer selection and stiff drinks at reasonable prices, it is a must-visit for both regulars and first-time visitors. The beer selection is respectable, and prices are among the best in the city. Rossi's opens at 9 am and stays open late into the night. It operates on a cash-only basis, but there's an ATM inside. Newcomers should ask about the simple rules, especially if it's busy. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the vibe, follow the rules, and be sure to tip well for a guaranteed good time at Rossi's. For those from out of town, trying the Chicago handshake, which is Old Style beer and a shot of merlot, is a great way to make the trip official. Customers have noted the friendly bartenders and the good atmosphere, making it a staple during their visits to Chicago.
