Been seeing a lot of videos on TikTok about this place so I’ve been wanting to try it. We went on a Monday @ 11 am so there’s only 1 table when we got there. We got lumpia, tapsilog, bangsilog and pork sisig and beef caldereta to go. So disappointed on the food. The beef tapa was so dry and no flavor at all and very chewy/hard not tender. Lumpia was okay. I wish the sauce was the mae ploy dipping sauce. Bangsilog tasted like bangsilog. Sisig to go was actually the only food I liked. The beef caldereta didn’t taste like beef caldereta. Beef was not tender and carrots and potatoes were still hard. Service was good though. The guy working as a server was very attentive and nice. But so disappointed on the food. Did not taste like Filipino food at all.

My sister and her husband took me here while I was in town. I've had the sisig and I highly recommend it! The waiter told me it was pork shoulder but based on the pieces I ate I think it was pork jowls and cheeks. Slightly sweet with grilled jalapenos and ginger flakes cooked in its own fat. It was heavenly to eat with plain rice after a late night out. I highly recommend this dish

Based on outstanding recommendations, I drove 12 miles to give Ruby's Fast Food a try, and I wasn't disappointed. The two breakfast entrees I got (Longsilog and Lechonsilog) were delicious and the portions were generous. I grabbed a cassava dessert that was to die for. And the owner gave me a free bowl of Oxtail Stew to sample. Ruby's is everything I love about neighborhood Chicago restaurants: Diverse, enticing flavors, warm cozy spaces and kind people who make you feel welcome. I love Ruby's and I will definitely be back!

Sarapppp, one of my favorite bites in the city. Came around 7pm on a Friday, service was great and food came out fast and SUPER fresh. Everything tastes so homey and the flavors are incredible, great portion sizes too. Amazing value overall. You can taste the love in everything you order. I want to bring everyone I know here!

Lumpia was awesome. Skewers are insane. Chicken coconut stuff was so good. Everything was great and the service was kind.

The food was good. I enjoyed the Lumpia Shanghai along with a side of white rice and a calamansi juice. The service was also good. The food tasted authentic and the calamansi did, too. All in all, an authentic Filipino restaurant that offers a variety of different foods and drinks.

I lived in the Philippines for 9 years and love authentic home-cooking. This was my first time trying Ruby’s, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Kare-kare (oxtail and vegetable stew). It’s my favorite dish, and they nailed it! Service was also attentive and sweet from Sam. This place is a bit hard for me to get to, but I will definitely be going back!

Ah I remember when Ruby’s used to be a hole in the wall buffet :) Love the sinigang and dinuguan, the recipes and taste still remain the same after all these years. So rich and full of flavor, but also can be quite heavy if you “accidentally” eat all of it in one go. Delicious lumpia and lechon, so crispy. I’ve tried the pancit palabok before; a bit lackluster for its price if you’re ordering it on its own. They are on uber eats but it’s not the full menu. They offer online delivery through their website.

Love, love, love this place. Our server Sam was amazing! We were uncertain about some of the food so he brought out a sampling. We got the an appetizer & 3 different meals. We shared it all. We will definitely be back. Love!!!!! The service was as wonderful as the food.

My go-to place for YEARS when it comes to Palabok and other comfort food away from the motherland. During my recent pickup for another tray of Palabok, I tried their Bopis and MAAAAAAAAN.... that dish tasted like HOME! 🫶🏽 Keep up the good work Ruby's! Holla back when the Pares makes an appearance sa menu! 😋😋😋

Food was delicious but the name “fast food” is extremely misleading. We got there when the restaurant opened and only one other table was seated at 10:30 and didn’t receive our food until 11:30. The waiter was very nice but it got crowded quickly and he was the only one covering 14 tables.
