I have been treating my family with breakfast at S&G for many years. It is our go to place. The food is outstanding, the servers are friendly and helpful plus you never have an empty coffee cup.
After our long walk we stopped at S&G for a coffee and a pie to warm up – while visiting Chicago in November. As we walked in we were greeted and seated by a kind staff member and had an amazing slice of fresh and, hot apple pie. If you need a mood boost, definitely try their apple pie! Later the owner came to say hi and gave us some good advice where to go and what to see while we're in Chicago. Her care and welcome kept us warm on our walk home. A lovely, local restaurant, we would definitely recommend it.
