Food was excellent. Joshua was an excellent bar tender and suggested great food/appetizers. would eat at again
So glad we decided to come here during their official opening. Our server Laura was absolutely amazing and gave excellent recommendations and description of the dishes. I'd have given it 5 stars if our steak hadn't been a bad cut/cook or combination of both but despite being the worst prime rib I've had compared to maybe a dozen supper clubs/restaurants the rest of the dishes and service made up for it. Will go back just for the duck and brussel sprouts.

Food is low quality. You can tell they're trying to elevate the lowest quality of food and service. fried chicken thighs with feathers, legs and feet attached that tastes like it was pulled it out of the dumpster out back. Very stuffy & cold atmosphere surrounded by concrete slabs and lighting to match. Mon Ami Gabi next door is fabulous and I just don't see how this could ever compete in the long run.

S.K.Y. is exactly what the Lincoln Park area needed. Exceptional cooking with well executed fusion twists, great service, and all at reasonable prices.

I dined at S.K.Y last night. Service was absolutely perfect! Hot food was served hot. And I love Chef Stephen Gillanders’ cooking, especially his use of Asian ingredients and the acid balance in his sauces.
We had:
Crab and Shrimp Summer Roll
Lobster Dumplings
Warm Mushroom Salad
Rohan Duck Confit
Cucumber Salad
Fried Chicken
Prime Rib with Anchovy-Maderia Butter, Garlic Frites
If you missed the news, S.K.Y was previously located in Pilsen, but it just opened in Lincoln Park at 2300 N Lincoln Park W, in the Belden-Stratford building, which is the same building that houses Mon Ami Gabi.

I've always been a fan of this restaurant, but their new location has truly taken things to the next level.
The new space is absolutely stunning, spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dining experience.
The food, as always, was phenomenal. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, beautifully plated, and served at just the right temperature. The presentation was immaculate, almost too pretty to eat (but we did, and it was amazing!).
The new, expanded menu is a fantastic upgrade. It offers a wider range of options without sacrificing quality or creativity. Each item we tried was outstanding, and now I'm already looking forward to my next visit just to explore more of what they have to offer.
To top it all off, the service was impeccable, warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. It's clear that the staff takes pride in both the food and the experience they deliver.
Highly recommend making a reservation and seeing the new space for yourself. Can't wait to come back!

Lobster dumplings, SO delicious (as always!) We also had the warm mushroom salad, fried chicken, and the sea bass. Everything was great. Save room for dessert: the dark chocolate cruller was indescribably AMAZING!
As a longtime regular of the original S.K.Y., I was beyond excited to check out the brand new S.K.Y. 2.0 in the Belden-Stratford, and it absolutely delivered.
Walking in, it instantly felt familiar. Same great playlist, same warm energy, just in a stunning new space with that fresh “new restaurant” scent still lingering in the air. The menu has all the beloved classics I’ve missed, plus a few new seasonal dishes that blew me away. The flavors were spot on. If anything, they’ve somehow leveled up. You can tell the team is totally in tune.
Lauren, our server, was an absolute star. She actually worked at the original location too, which made the whole experience feel like a joyful homecoming. Also the seasonal daiquiri was hands down one of the best daiquiris I’ve ever had.
If you go (and you should), do not skip the banana budino for dessert. It’s my all-time favorite dessert in the city of Chicago and still as perfect as ever.
Welcome back, S.K.Y. You’ve outdone yourselves!

Thrilled that S.K.Y. has finally reopened, and in such a gorgeous new space! Start to finish, everything was incredible. The service, wine list, savory courses, and dessert are all amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I wish I had photos, but I was too distracted enjoying the night! Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful and chic restaurant! Service was impeccable. Food was delicious and creatively presented. Favorites - lobster dumplings and short ribs, Nice wine list.
When I heard S.K.Y was relocating from Pilsen closer to me I was over the moon excited. Chef Stephen's creations are truly divine. One of the main reasons I was even more excited is SKY was often a dinner choice driving home from Midway to pick up family twice a year, so I couldn't drink. Now that it's close enough to walk home, I was ready to run through the cocktail menu. Unfortunately, nothing looked remotely appetizing on the 5 drink “cocktail” list for someone who's not a fan of sweet drinks. The cocktail menu includes an Old Fashioned - and 4 other fruit forward sweet cocktails (even the margarita has mango in it). It would be awesome to see an additional 5 cocktails geared more toward a refreshing profile- maybe a few vodka drinks (Lincoln Park residents love their Spritzers - for ex Rosemary & Pizzeria Portofino have incredible spritzers that everyone I know drools over) and maybe adding a refreshing Gin and another Tequila based drink to the cocktail menu would be fun too. Food- 10/10- I've never had a dish on this menu that didn't have the most incredible flavors. It's a must go to restaurant for terrific food. One of the dishes I've never had before last night was the Maitake mushrooms w chevre. I could eat this every day and twice on Sundays. It's one of those dishes you dream about after leaving the restaurant, I don't know how I've missed it in the past. Truly the food is a 10/10. The staff were so very kind. My only heads up about the ambiance is the acoustics make it very loud inside when it's busy. We had a hard time having a conversation with each other over dinner @ 7:15pm. My suggestion if you want to have a conversation is to go a little later or earlier for dinner if you don't like noisy restaurants. This noise level might work in River North, but at this location the crowd tends to be a 40+ and we don't love loud..... because we're old. ;)
SKY reopening is the best thing to have happened this summer! It's their original concept, reimagined. OG classics on the menu (friend chicken, banana budino), but plenty of new surprises. Surprisingly, one of my new favs is the summer roll- light, refreshing and full of flavor. Our server Lauren was great & the som, Tom, walked us through a great bottle for our dining choices. I can't wait to go back when the patio is open. 10/10 as always.
We were at the last day of service at the Pilsen location and the first day of service at the new Lincoln Park location, and the crew didn't miss a beat. Attentive service, great food, and one of the most spectacular wine lists in Chicago.
