We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant during our visit to Chicago. We are from St. Louis, Missouri and this place truly stood out for us.
We ordered goat brain masala, nalli nihari, bihari kebab with tandoori roti and aloo paratha—every single dish was excellent. It’s very rare to find such nalli nihari and the brain masala was hands down the star of the meal. Absolutely outstanding!
The restaurant interior and overall atmosphere were top-notch—very welcoming and comfortable. All the food is halal. The service was exceptional as well. The gentleman serving us was extremely kind and attentive; he checked on us frequently and even helped us pack our leftovers.
Ending the meal with a cup of chai was perfect. Another big plus was having a dedicated namaz space which meant a lot to us.
Great food, great service and thoughtful amenities all in one place. We would absolutely love to come back whenever we’re in Chicago again. Highly recommended!

We order food from Sabri Nihari every winter for the past 5 years! We live in Washington state and now has become tradition for us to order Sabri’s food!
This year the service was one of the best! Abdul Nazir is the manager who personally made sure our food got to us in a timely manner. We will continue this tradition because the food is highly anticipated for!
The service provided makes us want to keep coming back! We appreciate all that the kitchen staff and manager for packing the food that it arrives to us as it does!

Came here with my wife and in laws and was my first time really with Pakistani cuisine. Incredible food. Phenomenal portions and super quick service. The servers are ON TOP of everything and super attentive. The chicken chargha is my new favorite food and the haleem was so flavorful. Biryani was delicious and naans & parathas came out hot and fresh with everything.

Recently I been to Sabri Nihari few times, we were more then 5 in our group, every time we went to eat we got 18% gratuity and 10+ percent tax. I noticed if you go in there either you are two people or eight people. They only will serve you one plate of salad and two small bowl of sauces and may be one extra jug of water nothing more. If they are going to charge 18% extra on your food they should serve at least one extra plate of salad. I really hope they also consider 18% gratuity as an extra income to their restaurant, not just pocket it. Herring.
On the other note other than the nihari rest of the dishes are pretty plain. We ordered butter chicken and it seems like they pour one can of tomato sauce into some chicken and brought to us. They need to work on that dish especially. The nihari is good, rest of the dishes are same like Usmania. We ordered chicken platter it was not done and we were able to see raw parts of chicken so we told them it’s not done, guy took the platter and brought us back same platter and it was over done. I feel like if customer complaint about a dish at least fix it right or bring new one.

Okay, this is going to be a little bit hard. I think I was way too excited for this one and perhaps that's why I was disappointed!
I have been to Pakistani restaurants before and I always went back as the food was amazing but this one, I'm not coming back to. The food was good but I couldn't enjoy it as it arrived cold and it wasn't as flavorful as I hoped.
There was a service fee, but I wasn't happy with the service AT ALL. Maybe that's why they didn't care, they were tipped in advanced. I understand that it was so busy but our servers were disappointing. They brought us water and salad and didn't bring any glasses, cutlery or plates. We waited for them for over ten minutes and then we had to remind them. They brought the orders and placed them randomly on our table. We had to do everything ourselves. Swap the food to the right person, arrange our messy table and repeatedly asked for things they forgot to bring. They also got our order wrong. Adding an extra item to our order and charging us for it. The waiter made an unpleasant face when we mentiomend it to him. Finally they didn't even ask if we wanted our tickets separately. They brought us one bill and gave extra work to get them separated.
Also, something that bothered me so much is that when the servers cleaned other tables, they carelessly made so much noise and kept dropping cutlery, plates and dragging the chairs. It was already too noisy inside and this could have been avoided.

This is the best Pakistani/South Asian cuisine I’ve tasted in a long while. Several friends recommended Sabri Nihari to us, and the trip was absolutely worth it. With reasonable prices and an unforgettable symphony of spices, every Sabri special has something to offer for anyone who loves Indian (northern) or Pakistani flavors.
We especially loved the Frontier Chicken, and one visit was definitely not enough. I’m already looking forward to my next trip—and getting my hands on the Nalli Nihari for sure.

Decent spot to get some Pakistani food. They do get very busy so plan accordingly. Sometimes the food does take a while to get to your table given cook time and all but it is worth it to try this place out. Appetizers were really good and the niharis we tried were also really flavorful and goes really well with naan.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a decent restaurant. The ambience is good but the food is disgusting. I had suffered stomach upset immediately after eating food at this place
