Keralan Rice Bowl was excellent. Cumin rice is very tasty and gives you a craving to have more. Chilli Chicken 🍗 has a nice spicy flavor. Masala fries 🍟 is a must have.

Above all the service was excellent. The hostess explained the menu and gave recommendations based on what I was looking for.

Saffron Street is a solid lunch spot when you're craving something different. I tried the Green Chili Beef Paratha, spicy ground beef with pickled Fresno chilies and lemon yogurt, all wrapped in warm paratha bread. Also grabbed a side of Masala Fries with ginger pickle mayo. Flavors were bold and satisfying. Service was quick, and the space has a modern, clean vibe. Only knock is the limited hours, wish they were open later. Spent about $18 total. Will definitely be back for another lunch run.

I discovered this place a bit late, but I'm so glad I did! My go-to is the Saag Bowl with chicken and paneer — it's packed with flavor and feels healthy too.

For anyone who misses Indian food, these bowls offer a wonderful variety, capturing the essence of regional flavors — from the spicy South Indian-inspired Keralan Bowl to the creamy, rich North Indian-style Delhi Belly Bowl.

And don't leave without trying the masala fries with the ginger pickle mayo dip — absolutely addictive!

Just watched someone in the rice cooker with gloves on pick up and throw rice in their mouth then, without changing gloves stick their hand back into the rice and feel the texture. During lunch service.

affron Street is a gem if you're craving bold Indian flavors with a modern twist. I stopped by for dinner and got the Butter Chicken Bowl with garlic naan—super rich, creamy, and packed with spice. Also tried the Samosa Chaat, and it was the perfect mix of crispy, tangy, and savory. Spent around $25, and it was worth every penny. The spot has a cool, casual vibe, and the service was fast and friendly. If you're in the West Loop and want something flavorful and filling, this place is a must!

I've tried this place many times and the food is outstanding. During my visit today I found a small piece of metal (I'm guessing from a sponge) towards the bottom of my bowl (pictured on plastic cover).

When I told them about it they offered to make me a new bowl, but I declined. I didn't feel comfortable about consuming anything else from them. I'm glad I noticed before eating it, but someone like a child might miss it and it could have caused an injury.

Tremendously unique and conveniently quick, Saffron Street is a must-try for anyone looking for an exciting lunch option in the loop. I've had several of their 'sandwich' items, and the list keeps growing thanks to their inspired, rotating menu. The only downside is the food comes out so quickly, you only get a few moments with their kind and courteous crew!

Small curated menu with vegetarian options aplenty. The problem for us was we were there at the end of the day when a few of the items we wanted to try were sold out ?. But the server helped us get something we could eat by mixing and matching what was available. Plus we were informed that the menu changes frequently, so I will be visiting again. What we had was tasty. The sauce is made fresh in house everyday and it was delicious. Masala Fries were good. But they should consider giving more dipping sauce when ordering a full size. Paneer is freshly fried for order. Hazelnut was a nice addition to the sauce, better than the usual peanut.
