Sam’s Chicken & Ribs-Edgewater

Just tried Sam’s Chicken and Ribs for the first time and wow, those wings are crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily some of the best I’ve had in Chicago. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Real gem.

I ordered online and they didn’t honor the full order. There was a hot dog special buy one get one free and they only sent one hot dog. I was told since I ordered online there was nothing they could do. The problem is if you need to order for delivery online is your only option.

Open late, always fresh, always friendly. Happy to have this place around, you cannot beat their prices.

You can tell the food is made with care. The guys who work here clearly care about what they are doing, I mean with prices so low and such amazing portion sizes, not to mention they don't even ask for a tip online- that's the only explanation I have.

The menu is not too complicated, though diverse, and they do a great job with just about everything. No, it's not a fancy restaurant, dining in can be a bit awkward- but it's a wonderful spot to have around for takeout and has gotten me through my most financially tough times with both healthy and more indulgent food options that have all far exceeded my expectations.

I just moved near this corner today so I'm pretty pumped to have a place like this near by. I just had the cheeseburger meal with fries and it's pretty good. It's your typical neighborhood corner greasy spoon so not exactly the nicest interior but great place to grab an affordable meal.

The rib tips were dry and cut into small cubes!! They tasted boiled and finished on the grill. The fries and sauce were delicious. The price was very reasonable.
You get what you pay for!! Will NOT order again...

I ordered rib tips on this past Friday 😭.There were tons of dried fries- The rib tips were super tiny Not small but tiny . Called and they behaved like there was little understanding of English,tocall back later .. Ive been a customer since 2018 . The quality had deteriorated 😰

Please do not spend your money here I’ve been coming here for years just to get treated like crap today from a cashier I never seen before. All because my order comes with a drink & he expected me to pay more for something I didn’t have to. They don’t treat you right , they talk crap to you & they tries everything they can to get over on you. I couldn’t believe what i experienced today when I spends my money all the time. I will never go back.

I love Sam’s chicken and rib. Me and my friend went once and I enjoyed a lovely chicago dog (I wish they had poppy seed buns but from what I recall, the relish was neon green which I love and require). A hot dog and fries (very good amoumt) is like $7 which is very reasonable for what I’ve experienced. The fries are made to order and everytime I go anywhere else to get a hotdog I wish I went to Sam’s chicken and rib instead so that’s my final sentiment

i love you sam’s chicken and rib. i genuinely do not understand why this place isn’t constantly popping. they have every cola kind you could desire(crispy af), great chicago dogs, famtastic fries, good cheesecake and about so much variety that you will find at least one thing you want. the atmosphere is so classic and lovely. prices are affordable and the employees are kind. i love you sam’s chicken and rib. every time me and my friend go anywhere else for a chicago dog we regret it. the only criticism is that i wish the buns had poppy seeds. anyways, support sam’s chicken and rib!
