The good: carnitas and chilaquiles
The bad: service, drinks, potatoes, waffles

Nice to be able to sit outside with the dog, while people watching, service was excellent, unfortunately, the food was not so much. Fries were bland, the Cuban sandwich was oily and flavorless, and the ketchup for fries was not Heinz. I am sorry, but nothing beats Heinz ketchup; others have a strange taste and are watery. Probably won't give them a second chance.

The food was very good, not great. Service was a tad slow given there were only two other customers. It was a very clean place and they kept out waters and coffees filed.

Excellent friendly service and fabulous and creative menu combining traditional greasy spoon diner food with a Latin influence!

We went on a Sunday during brunch time and the place was pretty full and busy. We were seated very quickly and our food was very quick as well. All of the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the chilaquiles as they were definitely the star of our visit. The French toast was perfectly cooked and all of the fruit was extremely fresh. The BLT was really tasty as well. I would definitely return here. Parking is not great but probably doable but I would recommend taking CTA if walking is not an option.

Got seated but no menus. When water was refilled they put more on the table then jn the glasses twice. Ordered 3 burgers 2 came out at the same time had to wait on the 3rd. All 3 had something wrong. Medium burger w/o onion had onion. Good thing I'm not allergic to them sunce they just took it back and removed them. The well done burger was missing the onions and was burnt to a crisp. The breakfast burger medium rare didn't come out with the other two and was well done.
Used restroom before leaving and an employee didn't wash his hands after using the restroom.

Had a killer brunch at Savanna Breakfast & Lunch in Lakeview, 5 stars, no cap! Rolled in with my partner, dropped about $40 on the Llapingachos Benedict, dulce de leche pancakes, and two cappuccinos. The eggs were perfectly runny, the pancakes sweet but not overkill, and staff legit friendly. Cozy spot, great for a chill weekend hang or catching up over coffee. For real, this place always hits.
